P31 Wreck Diving – Comino, Malta with St. Andrews Divers Cove
The P31 was sank near Tal-Matz on the West coast of Comino, just after you pass the Blue Lagoon on the way from Mgarr Harbour. St Andrew’s Divers Cove normally dive this wreck when our fast, purpose built dive boat Divemania is berthed in Mgarr. Usually early or late in the season, or if strong North Westerly winds are forecast and the Xlendi mooring becomes too rough.
The bottom of the wreck lies in 18 metres of water making this a great wreck dive for Open Water Divers. Read on
MV Xlendi Wreck Dive with St. Andrews Divers Cove, Gozo
The ferry “MV Xlendi” was given to the Ministry of Tourism and the community of divers by the Gozo Channel Company after they decided to build a new ship, the “MV Ta-Pinu” for the Malta / Gozo ferry service. After a complete cleaning and opening of some safety exits for divers, the Xlendi was sunk in October 1999. Read on
Rozi Wreck Dive – Cirkewwa, Malta with St. Andrews Divers Cove
The Rozi was a tug boat that was scuttled in 1992 as an underwater attraction for tourists on submarine tours. The submarine trips no longer operate, but this wonderful little tug boat continues to sit perfectly upright on a sandy bottom within a rocky amphitheatre. The ship is now well colonized and all areas of the superstructure and bridge work are accessible to divers. Read more

The shallow part of the bay offers ideal conditions for try dives, while the Xlendi Tunnel and Reef offer deeper locations to explore when more experienced. Dawra Tas Sanap Dive Gozo with St. Andrews Divers Cove
Depending on the surge the dive-boat usually anchors on the shallow reef close to the cliffs east of the natural arch of Dawra tas-Sanap. This site is a very short ride on the St Andrew’s Divers Cove boat from Xlendi Bay, Gozo, Malta. The boat exits the bay and the dive site is literally 5 minutes down the coast, but impossible to get to from the shore as the cliffs are very high. Read on
Diving the Blue Hole, Dwejra Gozo with St. Andrews Divers Cove
The Blue Hole is a natural rock formation carved out over the centuries by wind and wave power. Offering a sheltered entry for a number of dives, this site includes a huge archway which starts at 8 metres and has a flat top, almost square in shape, and covered in golden cup coral. A large cavern is also worth exploring and can be found at the bottom of the hole to the left of the entry point. Read more on
Diving the Comino Caves with St. Andrews Divers Cove Gozo
Santa Marija is a popular site for fish feeding; whether you are in favour of or against the practice, there are certainly thousands of fish in the area and most tourists enjoy the encounter. If you do feed the fish, always remember to take out the plastic bags from the water afterwards. Fish species include saddled bream, two-banded bream and damsel fish. Read more on

San Dimitri Dive with St. Andrews Divers Cove, Gozo
The first part of the drop-off leads gently down to some house-sized boulders with vertical walls. Head out due west into open water until you reach an approximate depth around 30m and then follow the reef in a big semi-circle around to the south.
During the entire dive always watch out for big schools of Barracuda “cruising around” the blue water with dentex and groupers! Read more on:
Diving MV Cominoland Wreck with St. Andrews Divers Cove, Gozo
The MV Cominoland is probably the second most dived wreck around Gozo. More interesting than the MV Xlendi and but further from shore and smaller than the MV Karwels, she has also has some open passageways and swim throughs. ike the MV Karwela the wreck is now fully populated with an overall coating of algae and marine invertebrates, and the sea firs along the rails are a popular feeding ground for nudibranchs. Wreck Diving - HMS Stubborn with St. Andrews Divers Cove, Gozo
The HMS Stubborn (P 238) was a 66m S-class submarine scuttled by the Royal Navy on the 30th April 1946 to be used for ASDIC practice, and is up-right and intact on a sandy bottom. Because of the depth, the no-reference descent and the mandatory deco-stop in open water, this dive is limited to very experienced divers.
About 3 nautical miles north-east of St Paul’s Bay.

The wonderful view into the clear blue water mixed with the amazing diversity of the marine life of the northern coast is the main attraction of this part of the dive. Large groupers, dentex, all kind of rays and hunting barracudas are very common here and in the area of the big boulders on the left side of the reef “the lucky one” can find lobsters, morays and also colourful nudibranchs. Whied il-Ghasri Cathedral Cave Dive with St. Andrews Divers Cove, Gozo
Enter via the right-hand side of a steeply sloping wall, which drops down underwater to a huge cluster of large, rounded boulders covered in algae, sea urchins and brilliant coloured starfish.
The shallows are also home to huge number of damselfish and seahorses can occasionally be spotted – almost perfectly camouflaged among the spiky algae. Read on:
Double Arch Reef Dive with St. Andrews Divers Cove, Gozo
There is prolific fish life around this extended rocky headland carved by two large archways. The entry point is over very shallow water, dotted with hundreds of sea urchins. Passing over the large areas of sea grass here, you can often see cuttlefish, octopus and numerous wrasse. Read more:

When conditions are perfect this is a fantastic dive along a narrow canyon that stretches 80m through the headland to open water beyond.
Crocodile Rock Gozo - A Boat Dive with St. Andrews Divers Cove
The St Andrew’s Divers Cove dive boat Divemania anchors on the top of the rocky reef between Crocodile Rock and the shore, where the depth to the limestone reef is only around 7 m. The limestone rock platform here at Crocodile Rock is deeply grooved with many delightful gullies to explore and the reef top is covered in several species of marine algae, including Padina povonia and Udotea petiolata.
