We saw iconic Melbourne landmarks built entirely out of gingerbread. The Gingerbread Village made from 600kgs of gingerbread, 460kgs of royal icing, 200kg of marzipan.
There are some Melbourne's iconic landmark such as MCG, Flinder Street Station, Melbourne Zoo, Brighton Beach, Art Centre Melbourne, Luna Park with Iron man figure on top of it, Flemington Race Course, St Kilda Beach, Royal Children Hospital and more. They look so cool, so detail and a must go place to visit this Christmas in Melbourne.

MELBOURNE CITY CENTRE CHRISTMAS NIGHT TIME PROJECTIONS
(MELBOURNE CITY CENTRE) CHRISTMAS NIGHT TIME PROJECTIONS
St. Collins Lane is a shopping centre which stretches between Collins and Little Collins streets in Melbourne, Australia. The first shopping centre on the site, the Australia Arcade, opened in 1939 as part of the Australia Hotel development. In 1992, a new centre, Australia On Collins, was constructed on the site, and was redeveloped from 2014 into the present building.
It leads directly into the Walk Arcade at the northern end, and faces Centre Place across Collins Street at the southern end, forming part of a chain of arcades and shopping centres which lead from Flinders Street Station to Melbourne Central Shopping Centre through the blocks between Elizabeth and Swanston streets.
Melbourne comes alive with glittering light projections again this Christmas, over three locations in the city.
Start at the State Library Victoria to see this year’s feature show, a Very Melbourne Night Before Christmas, written by Marieke Hardy and narrated by Lee Lin Chin.
Then wander onward to see the epic static Christmas projections on the Melbourne Town Hall and, for the first time, Princes Bridge.
Melbourne city centre (also known colloquially as simply The City or The CBD[3]) is the central built up area of the city of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, centred on the Hoddle Grid, the oldest part of the city laid out in 1837, and includes its fringes. It is not to be confused with the larger local government area of the City of Melbourne which includes this area and the inner suburbs around it.
The boundaries are not precise as it is not currently an official area, but the area of boundaries of the Australian Bureau of Statistics Statistical Area Level 2 'Melbourne'[4] represents the commonly understood area of what is usually meant by 'the CBD' or 'the city'; this includes the Hoddle Grid, plus the area of parallel streets just to the north up to Victoria Street including the Queen Victoria Market, but not the Flagstaff Gardens, and the area between Flinders Street and the Yarra river.
The Central City is the core of Greater Melbourne's metropolitan area, and is a major financial centre in Australia and the Asia-Pacific region. It is home to Melbourne's famed alleyways and arcades and is renowned for its distinct blend of contemporary and Victorian architecture,[5] and home to five of the six tallest buildings in Australia. In recent times, it has been placed alongside New York City and Berlin as one of the world's great street art meccas, and designated a City of Literature by UNESCO in its Creative Cities Network

Explore Melbourne : Degraves Street - An Iconic Melbourne Place - 4K
#melbournestreetview #degraves #melbourne #melbournewalk
A vibrant hotspot loved by tourists and locals alike, Degraves Street is a quintessential Melbourne laneway.
Here, you will find many things the locals hold dear: street art, year-round alfresco dining, quirky boutiques and a buzzing atmosphere.
Take some time to explore the explosion of tiny shops, hole-in-the wall cafes and European-style restaurants crammed along its hundred-metre length.
Why it’s called Degraves Street ?
The street is named after pioneering merchants William and Charles Degraves who built a steam-driven flour mill on the site in 1851. The Degraves underpass (Campbell Arcade) was then built in 1955, connecting Flinders Street station seamlessly to the laneway itself. Take a quick detour into its subterranean depths and discover an abundance of off-beat shops and artworks.

New York Times Article:
Is the World's Best Croissant Made in Australia? - Oliver Strand
So I came across the NY Times article a fewyears ago about Lune Croissanterie being arguably the finest (croissant) you'll find anywhere n the world. And since then, i've been wanting to try it for myself.
A couple weeks ago, i finally had the opportunity to go to Melbourne and head on over to Lune Croissanterie, and of course i decided to go all out. I ended up ordering myself:
a Traditional French Croissant: 'Traditional French croissant, prepared over 3 days'
AUD $5.90; USD $4.11
an Almond Croissant: 'The original Croissant aux Amandes, prepared with almond frangipane & garnished with a healthy amount of flaked almonds'
AUD $9.50; USD $6.60
an Apple & Feijoa Crumble Cruffin: 'Filled with an apple and feijoa compote and vanilla crème pâtissière, topped with streusel and double cream'
AUD $8; USD $5.60
a soy coffee
AUD $4.50; USD $3.15
My favourite was actually the plain one, it was so buttery and flaky, and soft all at the same time. If you have a sweet tooth you'll definitely like cruffin / almond croissant, both of which are sweeter than the traditional croissant.
Definitely recommend this a melbourne 'thing to do' if you're ever here. the croissants her aren't on the cheap side, but definitely at least give the Traditional croissant a go!

ABOUT ME:
I'm a millennial who quit my corporate job in banking & finance in December 2018 to live life the way I want, everyday. I knew something wasn’t right when days all started to blur together and nothing stood out.
I want to see different places. I want to experience new things. I want to meet new people. I want to do something for the first time again.
This is the beginning of my journey to doing that, and to figuring out how I can generate income that will allow me to live life my way, every day.
