St. Fidelis Catholic Church in Victoria, Kansas
A beautiful old Catholic Church named one of the EIGHT WONDERS OF KANSAS in 2008. If you are traveling and have a little extra time this church, founded in the early 1900's, is worth the effort to visit. We saw it from the highway - with the 2 steeples seen from afar. The church's nickname The Cathedral of the Plains was bestowed on the church by William Jennings Bryan, a three-times candidate for President of the United States, when he visited in 1912. The website of the church is------ StFidelisChurch.com. We spotted this beautiful church in the middle of our 2500 mile trip home from Oregon. The singing is the Holy Trinity church choir, Shreveport, Louisiana, on the feast day of St. Vincent DePaul - September 27, 2011.

Greensburg's Hand Dug Well June 24, 2009
My family and I made a stop by the hand dug well at Greensburg, Kansas on June 24, 2009. It's been over two years since a tornado nearly completely wiped Greensburg off the map. The people there are super friendly and are working hard to get their town back on track. It appears that you can't go into the well (like before the tornado), but I'm sure that the folks in Greensburg will have it back better than before. Here's just 1:30 of what it was like that day. We hadn't been there since the young man you see in the video was able to be carried around by me (when he was a toddler), so I'm guessing we hadn't been there in about 17+ years...
Oh yeah... The well was recently selected as one of the Kansas Sampler Foundation's 8 Wonders of Kansas.

St. Joseph Church - Topeka Kansas
Dive into a short film about the restoration/preservation of the one of a kind German Catholic Church known in Topeka Kansas as St. Joseph.
St. Joseph is not only a piece of history, but a piece of art in the truest form. The years have not been kind to this local treasure and is in need of the completion of restoration.
The churches campaign is to preserve this beautiful church, and to make it functional again for the public to enjoy and worship.
Please do not hesitate to donate to the wonderful cause, the church needs it and we thank you.
