Little Sodbury is an English village in South Gloucestershire, located between Chipping Sodbury, to the West, Old Sodbury to the South, Badminton, and the A46 road to the East and Horton and Hawkesbury Upton, to the north. The manor of Sodbury comprises the nearby Chipping Sodbury and Old Sodbury: it is distinct from that of Little Sodbury.St Adeline's Church was built in 1859 by William James.Little Sodbury Manor is originally 15th century, the home of Sir John Walsh who employed William Tyndale as chaplain and tutor to his grandchildren in 1522-3; by tradition he began his translation of the Bible in his bedroom here.

Ding-Dong: Church bell ringers go on strike
The harmony of one Hampshire village has been shattered by a silencing of the church bells. The bell ringers of Bramshott have downed tools after a falling out with their vicar. He's shifted Sunday service times and wants the bell ringers in action before nine o'clock but they argue it's too ungodly an hour to disturb local residents. Roger Finn reports.

BELLRINGING in Camden, London
On Wednesday 8th May bell-ringers from Lingfield, Surrey rang all the bells in Camden to mark the approaching end of office for the current Mayor of Camden, Cllr Heather Johnson. The 8th May is also the anniversary of VE day. On that day in 1945 the bells began to peal again, after a long silence, to celebrate the end of the war in Europe. I was invited by the Lingfield bell-ringers to my parish church tower in St Martin's Church of England, Gospel Oak to watch them ring the bells. 6 Tenor bells: 1400lbs each in F#.

Church to Church Walks - North, East & Up Marden Churches
This is the beginning of a mini series taking walks from one church to another across the Sussex countryside. Today I am with Lara Sargent who has plotted our walk. We are in West Sussex and exploring the footpaths between North Marden, East Marden and Up Marden villages, using their historic country churches as our destinations.

Wotton to Westcott: Following the Greensand Way.
This is the second part of my walk with Matthew Holdsworth as we continued our exploration of the Greensand Way. In this episode we are half way along from Wotton Church in Surrey heading towards Westcott, just off the A25 and close to Dorking.
We are in the woods seeking the old mills that worked the streams in the Surrey Hills along the Pipp Brook back in the day. Join us in our exploration.

Running time: 55 minutes
My friend Michael accompanies me on a walk, where I take him on a very tranquil journey near the Wye Valley. I also relish that I can walk the long distance easily and the fact that Michael has a hard time keeping up.....
Filmed in the county of Monmouthshire including Itton, Devauden, St Arvans, Fedw Wood, The Cot, Tintern Cross, Trelleck Grange, Parkhouse, Trellech, Penallt and Monmouth.

Villages on the A25 - Brockham in Surrey
I am out exploring more of the villages along the A25 in Surrey. For this one, I have met up with Matthew Holdsworth and we are in Brockham, just in the shadow of Box Hill.
Brockham is a village and civil parish in the Mole Valley district of Surrey, England. It is approximately 1.5 miles east of Dorking and 4 miles west of Reigate. The River Mole flows west through the village.
