St John's Church (Jaani Kirik) - Tartu, Estonia
Before you think, I'm not going to watch a video about a church, St. John's Church was built in the 14th century and is Tartu's oldest surviving church. The church was quiet when we first walked in and then the organist began tuning up before beginning a virtuoso and dramatic performance of music that echoed around the church.
We sat mesmerized, looking at the 14th century oils from the gospel and terra cotta statues, both inside and out. A person couldn't have asked for a more spine tingling experience and St. John's will be my favorite memory of Tartu.

Walking in TARTU / Estonia on a winter day - 4K 60fps (UHD)
Tartu is the second big city in Estonia and a nice student town.
This winter walk starts at the Town Square and the Kissing Students statue. We go several streets to the river and the Botanical Garden. Passing St John's church up the Toomemägi hill we walk through the impressive Tartu Dome Church. There are ruins of the cathedral. Back down to the center for a quick stroll on the other side of the Emajõgi river.
Not a vlog, no intrusive faces, just walking for about one hour in this cute little town.
