Save St. John Point
The citizens of Mayne Island and the Salish Sea have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to preserve a unique natural area known as St. John Point. This 64-acre peninsula features two kilometers of pristine shoreline complete with beaches, a forest of tall Douglas Fir mixed with magnificent Arbutus and Seaside Juniper and an easily accessed open space with great potential for community use.
We've already raised more than $2 million, and we need your help getting the rest of the way.

St Johns Point County Donegal
St. Johns Point is at the end of a narrow peninsula which juts into Donegal Bay, south of the village of Inver. In the locality, you will find the remains of times long gone. Everything from standing stones to an old castle. From an old abbey to no less than twelve ring forts.
To the south is the coastline of Sligo and North Mayo, with the island of Inishmurray, rich in archaeological remains, and Streedagh Point where the Spanish Armada came to a tragic end. Looking north you can see right into Killybegs Harbour, and watch the large trawlers, Irish and continental, making their way to and from port. To the west the coastline ends in the massive sea cliffs of Sliabh League, and to the east you can see past Doorin Point towards Donegal Town at the head of the Bay. The Lighthouse at St. Johns Point provides an essential service to the fishermen of southwest Donegal, along with its sister lighthouses on Rathlin OBeirne Island and on Rotten Island at the entrance to Killybegs harbour.

Hello guys hope you will like my video
This video is about the natural beauty of Ireland.
St. John’s point is in part of county donegal which you can find in northwest Ireland ????????.
St. John’s point is harbor light. It guides from Donegal bay and marks the north side of the bay leading to Killybegs harbor, from the entrance up to rotten island.
The lighthouse was automated in November 1932 and converted to electric operation 30 yrs later.
The merchants and traders of Killybegs requested a light on St. John’s point in 1825.

St John's Point Lighthouse , Killough Co,Down
St Johns Point Lighthouse is located just south of Killough in County Down, Northern Ireland. It was designed and built by George Halpin in 1844. The original lighthouse was painted white. In 1902 three black bands were added. Its current markings of black with two yellow bands have been in place since 1954. It is the tallest onshore lighthouse on the Irish coast.

St Johns Point Lighthouse - Donegal
A flying visit to St Johns Point Lighthouse - literally 15 minutes from Croagh Caravan Park, Donegal.
I only covered the right side of the of the lighthouse but there are some beautiful coves to the left which you can see from the wide shots.
On the way there is a narrow passage which opens up onto a breach. Mind the cows that break out of the field and dander along the beach :)
