St. John the Baptist Parish Church - Glimpse of a Centuries-Old Church

St. John the Baptist Parish Church in Camalig, Albay is one of the most beautiful and best-preserved churches in the province of Albay and the most visited centuries-old Spanish colonial churches because of its immense cultural and historical value.

Driving through Tabaco City main street

Driving through the City of Tabaco. Located in the province of Albay, Bicol in southern Luzon.

The main street is full of shops and places to eat. Going direction Malinao you will see the church of St. John the Baptist, which is not visible in the video since tricycles are not allowed to drive there.

On the east side of Tabaco Mall you can find Saud where there is a big market and many cheap shops. You can also find Tabaco Park where many young people hang out after school.

Bicol 630, Part 2 Tiwi to Legaspi City

Lost somehow the video from Our Lady of Salvation Church in Joroan to Tiwi town proper so this video starts at San Lorenzo Ruiz Parish grounds in Tiwi passing Malinao, Tabaco City, Malilipot, some part of Bacacay, Santo Domingo the reaching Waway’s in Legaspi City for lunch.

Did a quick stop over at San Lorenzo Ruiz Parish in Tiwi, Sts. Joachim and Anne Parish in Malinao & St. John the Baptist in Tabaco City for the visita iglesia. DJC halo halo’s original restaurant is in Tiwi behind the municipal hall. Its congested in Tabaco City & if one needs to take a break in the popular fast food restaurants, it would be advisable to leave your vehicle at St. John the Baptist Parish grounds then walk over since the parking slots on those restaurants are run over by trikes- both motorized & manual. For this reason, driven straight to Legaspi for a late lunch instead.

We were supposed to drop by Mayon Planetarium in Tabaco but it was cloudy so scrapped the side trip. Vera falls is in Malinao & can be accessed at Ligao~Tabaco Road, Busay falls in Malilipot & Mayon Natural Park is in Santo Domingo and both have can be accessed from Bicol 630.

Road condition is good.

Philippine's President elect Joseph Estrada on Thursday (25/06) celebrated the 102nd anniversary of the feast of St John the Baptist, in his hometown of San Juan, Metro Manila. The festivities include a parade of Santong Buhay (live saints) depicting the life of St. John and traditional throwing of water and are held to commemorate the Baptism initiated by St John. The procession of 24 floats depict the different stages in the life of St John and are entries from 24 different villages (barangays) of San Juan. This year real people took part in the costume parade. In previous years puppets were dressed in the colourful outfits.

Hi guys! June 24 is the feast day of St. John the Baptist, so Happy Fiesta to all Tabakeños! I'm so glad that I went there last June 16, 2018 with my officemates and we're shookt that the fruits, vegetables, and plants at the Farmer's Bazaar were so cheap. And though it was really a hot day, we really enjoyed the place!
