Today We're heading to CBD (Downtown) Sydney Australia to visit a couple of beautiful places. Our next stop is the biggest church in Sydney CBD Australia. St Mary's Cathedral was built in 1851 and it is beautiful place to visit. You will see a lot of tourists here because it's a free attraction worth seeing and take a lot of pictures.
You will love the architecture. It's also open to visit the inside of the cathedral. It's beautiful with the colored glass windows.
There will be a lot of wedding pictures taken outside of the cathedral.
Sydney is just lively and nice overall with the warm and sunny weather.

St Mary's Cathedral is a neo-Gothic Catholic cathedral in the middle of Sydney. Nearby is Hyde Park to the west, the government building to the north, The Domain to the northeast, and Phillip Park to the south.This beautiful cathedral, built of sandstone and covered with a cedar roof, is considered the largest church in Australia. Its foundation was laid in 1821 by Governor Lachlan Macquarie. The cathedral was first inaugurated in 1900 and was finally completed in 1928.

St Mary’s, Gothic Revival–Style Cathedral | Sydney, Australia
[FILMED ON November 5, 2017] St Mary’s Cathedral is one of Australia’s most beautiful and significant buildings. It is dedicated to Mary Help of Christians. This Gothic Revival–style cathedral display many features on the outside of the building such as the flying buttresses in the eastern and western facades, the canopies and statues in the northern gable, the text of the Ave Maria, the carved saints’ heads and figures of the gargoyles.
The interior of this cathedral is typical of Gothic Cathedrals in having a high central nave which is bordered by smaller aisles and leads a direct path to the high altar. There are five smaller prayer surrounding the high altar which provide intimate spaces for reflection.
Like many other Cathedrals, the stained glass windows are one of the highlight when visiting cathedral. The stained glass windows of the Cathedral are the work of the famous Hardman Studios in England. The most magnificent is the Great North Window which is depicting the Coronation of the Blessed Virgin Mary as Queen of Heaven and Earth.
Housed in the central tower of the Cathedral is the Cathedral bells. The bells are rung in the English tradition. Change Ringing where each ringer rings s bell one after another is the method of bell ringing used at the Cathedral. The bells are in the upside down position and each of them is attached to a wheel and by pulling a rope from a room directly below, the bell will rotate and ring in tune with the other bells.
