Last weekend ghosthunters descended upon St Mary's Guildhall.
It's All About Coventry journalist Ben Glass joined them in their quest for evidence of the paranormal.

The current Coventry Cathedral was built after the destruction of the 14th century cathedral church of Saint Michael by the Luftwaffe in the Coventry Blitz of 14 November 1940. The city has two universities, Coventry University in the city centre and the University of Warwick on the southern outskirts.

On the 29th of October 2018 Coventry is only 794 days away from being the next UK City of Culture for 2021.
Today we look at two of the city‘s cultural Theatre and TV offerings of the past inspired by our friends over at historic Coventry.
On this day 410 years ago a certain William Shakespeare otherwise known as Bill stepped onto the stage at St Mary‘s Guildhall in Bailey Lane Coventry to perform in a play. Having learnt his stage craft from watching the Coventry mystery plays. We taught him a thing or two about how to perform and write theatre, having learnt what he learned in Coventry he then went on to use some of this cities historic events to write a few plays. Do you have a favourite Shakespeare play or a favourite Shakespeare character share with us who they are?
Another little known Shakespeare fact is that Bill was invited as a guest of the Berkeley family to a wedding at Caludon Castle, twas a warm evening and Bill was struggling to sleep so he took a walk in the forest where he saw elves, nymphs and pixies, Bill came back and said I’ve had the strangest dream in the middle of the summer and that is the legend of A Midsummer Nights Dream, you can still see the Remains of The Caludon Castle where Bill stayed in Caludon Park Road , Walsgrave, Coventry.
Also on this day in 1990 a legend of the screen was born filmed in Binley Coventry and Stoke Aldermoor Coventry. We were given the delights of Hyacinth Bouquet or Hyacinth Bucket and her brother in law Onslow and his wife Daisy would call him who used to live in Stoke Aldermoor. Did you see any of the filming in Binley or StokeAldermoor.

Coventry is a city and metropolitan borough in the West Midlands, England. Historically part of Warwickshire, Coventry is the 9th largest city in England and the 12th largest in the United Kingdom. Coventry is 95 miles (153 km) northwest of central London, 19 miles (31 km) east-south-east of Birmingham, 24 miles (39 km) southwest of Leicester and 11 miles (18 km) north of Warwick.
Coventry Cathedral was built after the destruction of the 14th century cathedral church of Saint Michael by the German Luftwaffe in the Coventry Blitz of 14 November 1940. Coventry motor companies have contributed significantly to the British motor industry. The city has two universities, Coventry University in the city centre and the University of Warwick on the southern outskirts.
The only professional football team representing the city are Coventry City F.C., formed in 1883 as Singers F.C.. Nicknamed the Sky Blues, the club competes in Football League One (third tier of English football), but spent 34 years from 1967 to 2001 in the top tier of English football, winning the FA Cup in 1987.
