St. Michael's Cave in Gibraltar
St. Michael's Cave, one of Gibraltar's top tourist attractions, is a limestone cave located within the Upper Rock Nature Reserve in the British Overseas Territory of Gibraltar, at a height of 300 metres above sea level.
There is a spectacular lighting system with changing colors.

This video is about Lower St Michaels Cave 2014 Filmed by me using a GoPro 3+, Oct 2014.
One of the main tourist attraction are the caves, with an extensive underground system, the most interesting being St. Michael's Cave, Gorham's Cave and many other smaller caves. St. Michael's Cave are especially of great interest, with cave formations beautifully lit, forming an overwhelming experience. It is also a concert and cultural events venue in its upper part, while the lower galleries are more adventurous. Gorham's cave is a marine cave where important artifacts and fossils have been found. The upper Rock has a large system of tunnels and galleries dug during the Great Siege and the Second World War, many of them being open for visiting and extremely inciting.

Les Miserables in Concert - The music of the most succesful theatre production of all time, comes to Gibraltar on the 11th & 12th May 2012. This major production is to be performed within the spectacular setting of St Michaels Caves and the part of the cave system known as the Cathedral Cave; a natural auditorium renowned for its enhancement of acoustics. Produced and Directed by Christopher John Music of the Music Theater Company, the show will be two and a half hours of full on entertainment and the first time (that we know of) that a Les Miserables production has been performed in a cave. Gibraltar St. Michaels Cave
St Michael’s Cave has interested visitors to Gibraltar ever since the days of the Romans. The Cave was long believed to be bottomless. This probably gave birth to the story that the Rock of Gibraltar was linked to the Continent of Africa by a subterranean passage over 15 miles (24km) long under the Strait of Gibraltar.

St Michael’s Cave was long believed to be bottomless. This probably gave birth to the story that the Rock of Gibraltar was linked to the Africa by a subterranean passage under the Strait of Gibraltar. The famous macaques were said to have come to Gibraltar through this subterranean passage.
We traveled by car from Fuengirola, Spain to Gibraltar. We parked the car just next to border gate of Gibraltar near the Airport runway. From the border gate we took bus number 5 to the City Center. Along the Main Street near the Church of England there is a van tourist operator that offer a service going up the Rock of Gibraltar. There were three stops on this tour, and one the stops is the St Michael's Cabin or Cave. The driver let us explore inside the cave for about 15 minutes. Just be aware that outside the cave there are so many wild monkeys. It is recommended to leave your hand bags or anything inside the van or car because monkeys get attracted when people are holding something, except the camera or mobile phones. By the way, we paid £35 per person for this tour service and that included the ticket to go to the cave. The tour took about almost two hours. This is a great way to go to up the mountain if you not fancy to take the cable car and if you have very limited time in Gibraltar.
