Holy Russia in the Catacombs: A Pictorial Journey
(This video offers a rare glimpse into the life of the martyric Russian Orthodox Catacomb Church. It features 600+ photos of Saints, Martyrs, Confessors and other unsung heroes of this glorious, illegal and apocalyptic Church, which, during the reign of the Soviet Antichrist, fled into the wilderness in order to remain faithful to Christ our God.)

Russia: Pistol used to execute Nicholas II exhibited in Moscow museum
A Colt pistol with which the last Tsar of the Russian Empire, Nicholas II, was killed in 1917 was showcased at the State Central Museum of Contemporary History of Russia, in Moscow, on Tuesday.
Nikita Anikin, academic secretary at State Central Museum of Contemporary History of Russia (Russian): We have exhibited a Colt pistol that belonged to Mikhail Medvedev, one of the participants in the assassination of the Tsar family. This is indeed a very tragic episode. However, Medvedev handed over the gun to the Soviet Museum of Revolution and felt no confusion when describing all the details of the assassination in the letter he attached to the pistol.
Vladimir Medinskiy, Russian Minister of Culture (Russian): Today is the 100th anniversary since the day Moscow authorities decided to open the Revolution Museum. I would like to wish that the museum and all of us Moscow authorities would never have a reason for such actions in the future and would never create museums of revolution.

My visit to Russia begins along the Baltic Sea in Saint Petersburg. Saint Petersburg is Russia's second-largest city as well as its cultural capital. The Historic Center of Saint Petersburg and Related Groups of Monuments constitute a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Next I continue on to Moscow, Russia's capital and most populous city. Here I visit historic Red Square and the Kremlin. The Video concludes with my visit to the Trinity Monastery of St. Sergii in Zagorsk.

BAPTISM OF RUSSIA / রাশিয়ার ব্যাপটিজম অনুষ্টান
Russian Orthodox Church celebrates the Baptism of Russia holiday today, July 28th, TASS reports. This event has defined the development path for many nations. The turning point has occurred in 988 in Kiev, when Prince Vladimir accepted Orthodox Christianity, and then ordered all the inhabitants of Kiev to appear at the Dnieper River for baptism. Seven years ago the Russia's Baptism day was dedicated to his memory.
All the Russian Orthodox Churches ring bells at noon. This tradition unites Orthodox Churches and monasteries in Russia, Ukraine, Belorussia, Moldavia, Azerbaijan. Festive divine services and sacred processions, people congratulating each other and some of them baptizing, thematic lections and exhibitions are conducted on this very special day.
This year Orel city becomes the center of the celebration with the participation of Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia.
Let us remind you, celebrations took place in Vladimirskaya Gorka Park (“Vladimir’s Hill Park”) of Kiev the day before. Kiev Metropolitan Onufry of Chernovtsy and Bukovina performed a thanksgiving prayer service with hierarchs of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church and clergy of the Diocese of Kiev concelebrating. 10 thousand people have participated in the prayer.

Young and Gay in Putin's Russia (Part 1/5)
Subscribe to VICE News now:
When Russian President Vladimir Putin banned gay propaganda in June last year, Russia's LGBT community went from being a stigmatized fringe group to full-blown enemies of the state. Homophobia becoming legislation means it's now not only accepted in Russia but actively encouraged, which has led to a depressing rise in homophobic attacks and murders.
The main aim of the law, which essentially bans any public display of homosexuality, is to prevent minors from getting the impression that being gay is normal. Which means that, if you're young and gay in Putin's Russia, you're ostracized and cut off from any kind of legal support network.
In part 1 we get a ride with Artem, a young driver for Moscow's gay taxi service Our Taxi, meet Nikita, a 17-year-old activist who has been labeled a propagandist because of his LGBT rights YouTube channel, and Yulia, a young lesbian who started LGBT self defense classes after her favorite gay bar in Moscow was attacked by about 20 armed men in October 2012.
