St. Stephen's Cathedral - VIENNA/NOW Sights
The Viennese lovingly call it “Steffl”. St. Stephan’s cathedral is the landmark of Vienna.
It has played a big part in Viennese culture over the centuries. If the cathedral’s walls could talk, it would have many stories to tell.
Mozart’s wedding took place here as well as Antonio Vivaldi’s funeral.

UNDERGROUND CEMETERY/CATACOMBS at St. Stephen's Cathedral in Vienna, Austria
You want to do something out of the ordinary? If you come to Vienna in Austria you have to visit St. Stephen's Cathedral and the Underground Cemetery, the catacombs.
I was one morning in Vienna, Austria and find out some really nice places to see. If you travel to Vienna there is a couple things you must see and I will leave the names below:
Kaisergruft Wien
Burggarten Wien
Kunsthistorisches Museum Wien
Naschmarkt Wien
Donaturm Wien
St. Peter's Catholic Church
St. Stephen's Cathedral
The last 2 places were the places when you travel to Vienna I was most amazed with. The St Peter's Church is beautiful and when I was there it was still with the Christmas arrangements so I loved it.
But the things I rally wanted to see here in Vienna Austria came last because they only open at 10am. It was the north tower in the St Stephen's cathedral and this North Tower has an amazing view over the city. You can take amazing pictures from there.
The after coming down from the north tower I went on a tour on the underground cemetery or catacombs as some people call it, under St. Stephen's Cathedral. This Vienna catacombs are a cemetery under a church and the crypts there go back to more than 300 years of age.
So if you don't know what to do in Vienna for a day here you have, there are many things to do in Vienna. There are so many things to do in Vienna Austria that you will be amazed. The are the best things to do in Wien, and if you know any more on what to do in Wien Austria write it down below.

ST. STEPHEN'S CATHEDRAL-SYMBOL OF VIENNA!
Vienna, Austria is one of the most beautiful cities in the world and St. Stephen's Cathedral is the symbol of Vienna. The cathedral is the highest point of Vienna's inner city skyline and it looks like it can reach the heavens. The church features a combination of Romanesque and Gothic styles. There are hundreds of years of history here and you can feel the history as soon as you enter the cathedral's doors. You will be amazed at the interior's stained glass windows, paintings, carvings, and sculptures. It's organ is one of the largest in Europe. Mozart was married here. This is absolutely a must-see when visiting Vienna!

It is the most important religious building in Austria's capital, and its multi-colored tile roof is one of the city's most recognizable symbols.
Standing at 136 metres tall (445 ft) and affectionately referred to by the city's inhabitants as Steffl St. Stephen's Cathedral's massive south tower is its highest point and a dominant feature of the Vienna skyline. Its construction lasted 65 years, from 1368 until 1433.

After the Schönbrunn palace, I decided to go to St. Stephen's Cathedral at night time. Again because it's Christmas time, I got to see the Christmas markets. At night time you get to see some beautiful lights and get a completely different atmosphere to day time, although it is also very cold!
