Stand Up Paddle Board to Donut Island with SurfSUP - New Zealand's Biggest Gap Year

Tomorrow – Day 13 –
About this video:
It’s day 12 on New Zealand’s Biggest Gap Year where are challenging ourselves to do 365 Days: 365 Activities in New Zealand! Today’s activity is to stand up paddle board to Donut Island with SurfSUP!
SurfSUP is based in the Coromandel town of Whangamata, where just off-shore is a magical place called Donut Island. When the conditions are calm, Whanagamata and Donut Island make an awesome place to SUP in the Coromandel!
As this is our first time on a stand up paddle board in New Zealand, we get a quick lesson with SurfSUP then jump on the boards and start paddle boarding to Donut Island! Once we arrive, we float through a cave and into an island shaped like a donut. The scenery is just beautiful!
See what it’s like to SUP in the Coromandel with us on this stand up paddle board trip to Donut Island!

S.U.P.S (Stand Up Paddle Sculpturing)
We're all out there doing the same thing, bro, riding waves, it doesn't matter what we're riding them on - Some wise words a stand up paddleboarder once told me, and even though he'd just picked up the sport of 'surfing' in his later years after reinventing himself as a cool surfer guy after a messy divorce and didn't quite grasp the basics of surf etiquette, he was absolutely right! People like this were the inspiration behind my quest to create a commemorative sculpture dedicated to our ocean sweeping brothers.
