PRODIGY BOWLERS TOUR -- 01-20-2018 TAJ MAHAL OPEN
PRODIGY BOWLERS TOUR -- Episode 49 -- Recorded January 20, 2018 for release on January 23, 2018. TAJ MAHAL OPEN.
One of our bigger fields as 21 kids -- 17 Bigs and 4 Littles -- went to the starting gate in a two-game qualifier trying to make the show. The top 2 Littles advanced to a Championship Match, and the top 5 Bigs advanced to a full, four-match stepladder. So on this week's show, a total of FIVE matches (instead of the usual four). It's an action-packed episode of PRODIGY as several new faces bowled in this week's qualifier and two made the show as first-timers.
Plus, the potential of a PRODIGY first! We've had two brothers win on PRODIGY before as Matt and Nick have both claimed championships on the show. But they won on different dates. On today's show, with two divisions -- the Bigs and the Littles -- two brothers, one in each division, are in the field and will by trying to become the first brothers ever to both win on PRODIGY on the same show.
USBC Silver Certified Coach Randy Brown is your play-by-play voice. This episode was shot at Brunswick Zone Roswell in Roswell, Georgia.

PRODIGY BOWLERS TOUR -- 01-28-2017
Our most exciting episode of PRODIGY BOWLERS TOUR yet, as three new faces appear on the show, including two visitors from another bowling center. All in all, a total of eight kids go at it -- six from Brunswick Zone Roswell, and our two visitors from Stars and Strikes in Cumming, GA. Every match comes down to the final frame, either to see who makes the cut or to see who wins. Some really good bowling on this show! Enjoy. USBC Bronze Certified Coach and former PBA member Coach Randy Brown on the play-by-play.
Feel free to leave comments, but keep them constructive for the kids. If all you have to offer are insults or profanity, your comment(s) will be removed. Play nice. We're trying to teach kids how to bowl while we grow the sport. Remember the motto of the show: Celebrating Junior Bowling while Elevating Junior Bowlers. Try to keep your comments within the spirt of that motto, okay? Insulting kids is not helpful, and it does nothing to grow the sport of bowling. All it does is send a signal to junior bowlers everywhere that there are jerks in the world who have nothing better to do than make fun of children. Get a clue. However, if you have constructive suggestions for our kids' games, your comments are encouraged. (Even if they're misguided, at least they'll be coming from a place where you're trying to be helpful, which is always welcome.)

With every game, players have to choose a god - immortal - to play as. Currently, players can choose between 86 gods and immortals from nine different pantheons: Celtic, Chinese, Egyptian, Greek, Hindu, Japanese, Mayan, Norse, and Roman. Each individual god is classified as one of the following classes: Assassin, Guardian, Hunter, Mage, and Warrior.
Each god has a basic attack, a passive trait, and four abilities with varying effects, such as area damage, crowd control, buffs and many more. These abilities are acquired and upgraded when the player's god levels up by gaining experience from being in range of minions when they are killed, taking down towers or phoenixes, and defeating enemy gods. SUMMARY
=======
The presidency of James Buchanan began on March 4, 1857, when James Buchanan was inaugurated as President of the United States, and ended on March 4, 1861. Buchanan, a Democrat from Pennsylvania, took office as the 15th United States president after defeating former President Millard Fillmore of the American Party, and John C. Frémont of the Republican Party in the 1856 presidential election.
Buchanan was nominated by the Democratic Party at its 1856 convention, where he defeated both the incumbent President Franklin Pierce and Illinois Senator Stephen A. Douglas. Despite his long experience in government, Buchanan was unable to calm the growing sectional crisis that would divide the nation at the close of his term. Prior to taking office, Buchanan lobbied the Supreme Court to issue a broad ruling in Dred Scott v. Sandford. Though Buchanan hoped that the Court's ruling would end the dispute over slavery in the territories, Buchanan's support of the ruling deeply alienated many Northerners. Buchanan also joined with Southern leaders in attempting to gain the admission of Kansas to the Union as a slave state under the Lecompton Constitution. In the midst of the growing chasm between slave states and free states, the Panic of 1857 struck the nation, causing widespread business failures and high unemployment.
Tensions over slavery continued to the end of Buchanan's term. Buchanan had promised in his inaugural address to serve just one term, and with the ongoing national turmoil over slavery, no one asked him to rescind his pledge. Republican nominee Abraham Lincoln, running on a platform devoted to keeping slavery out of all Western territories, defeated the splintered Democratic Party and Constitutional Union candidate John Bell to win the 1860 election. In response to Lincoln's victory, seven Southern states declared their secession from the Union. Buchanan refused to confront the seceded states with military force, but retained control of Fort Sumter. The secession crisis culminated in outbreak of the American Civil War shortly after Buchanan left office.
