Starnberg is a German town in Bavaria, Germany, some 30 kilometres (19 mi) southwest of Munich. It is at the north end of Lake Starnberg, in the heart of the Five Lakes Country.
Me and my friends (Adela, John and Senthil) planned cycling journey from Munich to Starnberger see. I tried caputuring our journey and fun moments there in a cinematic video.

Starnberger See ~ Starnberg, Germany
Lake Starnberg Germany Tours - Lake Starnberg (German: Starnberger See) in southern Bavaria is Germanys fourth largest lake and a popular
recreation area for the nearby city of Munich(münchen). Towns by the lake include Starnberg in the north, Seeshaupt in the south,
and Tutzing in the west. The small town of Berg, Upper Bavaria near Starnberg is famous as the site where King Ludwig II of Bavaria was
found dead in the lake in 1886.
The lake, which was created by ice age glaciers from the Alps, extends 21 km (14 miles) from north to south and has a width of
3-5 km (2-3.5 miles) from east to west. It has a single, small island, the Roseninsel, and a single outlet,
the Würm river (because of this river the lake was called the Würmsee until 1962). Its major inflow comes from a chain of small lakes in
the south, Osterseen. This small river is called Ach or Ostersee-Ach. It is possible to circumnavigate the lake by cycle.
The lakes water is of excellent quality due to a circular sewerage system being introduced in the 1960s, collecting all wastewater from
around the lake and transporting it to a treatment plant below the lakes outlet at Starnberg.

From the Hilton Munich Park Hotel to La Villa Starnberger See and a subsequent electric boat trip across Lake Starnberg to the King Ludwig II Memorial.
To commemorate the tenth anniversary of the death of King Ludwig II, the votive chapel was built between 1896 and 1900 above the spot where the regent was found dead. A wooden cross marks the place in the lake.

Starnberg Lake in winter, Bayern - Travel Germany [4K]
Lake Starnberg (Starnberger See) — called Lake Würm (German Würmsee) until 1962 — is Germany's fifth largest freshwater lake in terms of area and, due to its great average depth, the second largest in terms of water volume, after Lake Constance. The lake and its surroundings are an unincorporated area within the rural district of Starnberg; the lake itself is the property of the state of Bavaria and is administered by the Bavarian Administration of State-Owned Palaces, Gardens and Lakes.
Located in southern Bavaria 25 kilometres (16 mi) southwest of Munich, Lake Starnberg is a popular recreation area for the city and, since 1976, one of the wetlands of international importance protected by the Ramsar Convention. The small town of Berg is famous as the site where King Ludwig II of Bavaria was found dead in the lake in 1886. Because of its associations with the Wittelsbach royal family, the lake is also known as Fürstensee (Prince's Lake). It is also mentioned in T. S. Eliot's poem The Waste Land.

Der Starnberger See - Bayern. Ludwig Tour - Germany - Deutschlands
SOURCE : WIKIPEDIA
