台灣有豐富多元的飲食文化，俗話說吃飯皇帝大，可見台灣人對吃非常重視，台中市潭子區摘星山莊內的挽月樓餐廳，最近就在春節過年前後，推出台灣第一個沉香雞火鍋料理，摘星山莊館長黃信彰說，用珍貴沉香熬煮的雞湯，趁熱淋在台中清水百年老店的麵線上，再配上幾道清爽可口的小菜，保證讓用餐民眾吃的滿足又開心，黃信彰館長表示，摘星山莊的沉香雞料理，採用沉香木控窯黃金烏骨雞，所以味道特別甘醇鮮美、天然又健康，讓人一口接一口，吃完了還會想再吃。
摘星山莊的黃信彰館長說，現代人的飲食注重養生，還要色香味俱全，所以摘星山莊的沉香雞沒有人工香料，是自然的原味，少油少鹽吃了沒有負擔，完全不用擔心食安問題，製作沉香雞料理要有相當的技巧跟功夫，所以吃起來就是不一樣。
有珍貴百年客家建築的摘星山莊，已經是在地有名的文化園區，這裡經常舉辦傳統民俗藝文活動，摘星山莊越來越有生命力跟可看性，園區內的挽月樓餐廳還提供各式餐飲料理，所有的菜色都採用新鮮在地、安全無毒的食材，可以說是便宜好吃又大碗，特別是這道沉香雞料理，很多人吃了之後都說讚。

摘星山莊莊主 林其中，字樂卿， 號在矣，生於道光12年〈西元1832年〉，西元1854年隨霧峰林文察赴福建屢建戰功。西元1863年台灣中部戴潮春事變，隨軍返台助剿，解甲歸鄉後建造摘星山莊。
