Boracay Beach Philippines, Western Visayas Station 3 area.
This was taken last year shortly before President Duterte closed the Island to tourists.
We stayed at Jony's Resort at Station 3, it was an awesome place, the staff were excellent and made our stay very enjoyable. nothing was too much trouble for them.
Walking around in the evening a little bit further down towards Station 2 there are plenty of decent restaurants and bars. Overall it was a fun place but nowadays is very commercialised. The beach is clean, the security staff at Jony's will look after your gear when you go for a swim and keep an eye on your loungers etc.
It was cloudy as we were off season, but it was still very hot, the water was warm and overall a great little break from Manila.

Service was excellent and to stay on the calm site of boracay was definitely the right decision. I can totally recommend this hotel if you dont want go for party holidays. Tip: For a stress free transfer to caticlan airport book their shuttle service for around 700 peso. Very convenient!
I like their systematic handling of their guests. From Arrival from the airport, we were picked-up promptly even if the flight was delayed (they monitored the times), to the speedboat ride, to the disembarkation in the island, we already have a van waiting to take us to the resort (since it's far from the maddening crowd of Stations 1-3 (with varied accommodations, restos, etc.). But Fairways addressed that distance, they have a regular shuttle that take guests to and from the hotel for those wanting to go to those area with shops and restos, with last trip return to the hotel at 10:00 pm. Likewise, even if we were leaving, their assistance was still the same.
Minuses:
The staff here in Manila office-Reservations who replied in not so courteous way because since I brought my two granddaughters with their mom (niece), she gave the impression that the kids couldn't stay with us. I said it was just like a couple with two kids. Likewise, I was being asked to pay again the boat transfers when I've already paid in full for bothways for each of us. So I called long-distance the resort itself in Boracay and because of the courteous way the staff in Fairways Boracay replied, the mistake in the email reply of the staff in Manila office- Reservations was clarified and the kids can stay with us and there was nothing I need to pay since I already paid all the boat transfers.
