The Link Pathway - Inner Marlborough Sounds, New Zealand
The Link Pathway Te Ara Tuhono is a high quality pathway being created on public land as a community project in the beautiful Marlborough Sounds, New Zealand. A free-to-use walking / mountain-biking pathway between Havelock and Picton, it is 42 kilometres long, and of a gentle and even gradient (mostly national cycleway standard grade 2).
With numerous potential start and end points for those wanting shorter excursions, the pathway features stunning vistas as it gently winds through mostly bush-clad hillsides to pleasant bays and beaches and small communities in the Inner Marlborough Sounds.
The Link Pathway includes several sections of a historic bridle path, built by early settlers and miners in the 1860’s, and also WW2 military ruins.
It joins with the popular Queen Charlotte Track at Anakiwa, providing a link with Ship Cove for walkers / cyclists going to / from Picton or Havelock. The western half of the Link Pathway is part of the country-long Te Araroa Pathway.
Three-quarters of the Link Pathway is open, with the remainder due to be completed by 2020.

Windhawk Ridge - Marlborough New Zealand
Windhawk Ridge is situated in the heart of the Marlborough Wine Region of New Zealand and many of the iconic photographs used by the wine industry and travel writers are taken from this property.
A rare opportunity exists to purchase these stunning rural residential sites which are located immediately to the southwest of the Pernod Ricard flagship Brancott Estate Wine Heritage Centre and Restaurant and only a 5 minute drive to Blenheim airport and a 10 minute drive to the town of Blenheim. The wonderful Marlborough Sounds boating paradise is a 25 minute drive to either of the port towns of Picton or Havelock.

Motuara Island - Queen Charlotte Sound
This beautiful island sanctuary is a real jewel to the Marlborough Sounds and helps guard the Queen Charlotte Sounds at the Northern Entrance. It has a wharf on the South Western side and a path that meanders through native bush to a lookout tower with the most spectacular views.
This flight cruises right over the top of the island and you can see the look out tower where the operators are flying from. This video gives you a really unique perspective of Motuara Island and Long Island. Take a look at the crystal clear water and all the seaweed growing along this pristine island coastline.

Waikawa Bay - Queen Charlotte Sound
A view from within Waikawa Bay Suburb shows the bay in the early morning. The footage pans across different areas of Waikawa Bay near to the community park and boat ramp and gives a great perspective of how many yachts and boats are moored in the bay.
The footage then shoots off to give a closer look at Waikawa Marina and all the yachts in their berths. Waikawa Marina is New Zealand's third largest marina and is a popular spot for locals and visitors to launch their trailer sailers and launches over the summer time.
The footage was taken early May 2016 with the DJI Inspire 1 V1 using an X3 Camera with a standard lens.

On the Monarch Wildlife Cruise, Dunedin | Sailing Otago Harbour and Taiaroa Head
This winter we enjoyed a half-day cruise on the Monarch, sailing out along Otago Harbour to Taiaroa Head, and back again. Though it was a bit rough out at Taiaroa, it was still well worth going. We often take drives along the peninsula, so it was awesome to see it from a different perspective. We also got a glimpse of heaps of different seabirds, as well as some kekeno (NZ fur seals).

30 Tips for Backpacking in New Zealand ➜
-- About this video --
This morning we wake up on D’Urville Island to the sound of New Zealand native birds. We see weka, tui, bellbird and more thriving here on D’Urville Island.
We are staying in the D’Urville Island Wilderness Resort which has some very affordable options for backpackers.
We love the pace of life on D’Urville Island, island life. We hang out with our hosts at the D’Urville Island Wilderness Resort, have breakfast, then one of our hosts offers to take us to a D’Urville Island lookout by 4WD. We’re in!
After an insane drive up to the top of D’Urville Island, we get some awesome views. We head back down the D’Urville Island Wilderness Resort and hop into a fishing boat for some fishing at D’Urville Island.
After catching some blue cod at D’Urville Island, we go see a seal colony before journeying to the French Pass Whirlpools. The French Pass Whirlpools are a bizarre sight seen from boat or for the lookout walk in French Pass.
Back on dry land, we are in French Pass about to take the French Pass Road back to Okiwi Bay.
What do you think of D’Urville Island? Would you stay overnight in D’Urville Island?
