Naik Kereta Api Uap Jaladara (Steam Train Locomotive Jaladara Solo Indonesia)
Steam Train Locomotive Jaladara, Kereta Wisata Jaladara, Kereta Uap Jaladara atau yang disebut dengan Sepur Kluthuk Jaladara sudah melintasi kota Surakarta sejak tanggal 27 september 2009.
KA Wisata Jaladara ini pertama kali diresmikan oleh Menteri Perhubungan Jusman Syafi’i Djamal bersama Gubernur Jawa Tengah dan Walikota Solo waktu itu.
Satu rangkaian Steam Train Locomotive atau kereta api uap Jaladara ini terdiri atas satu lokomotif Seri C 1218 dan dua gerbong penumpang dengan Seri TR 144 dan TR 16 dibelakangnya.
Lokomotif kereta uap wisata jaladara ini buatan Jerman pada tahun 1896, diambilkan dari Museum Palagan Ambarawa.
Sementara gerbongnya dari Magelang dan Bandung. Sekali jalan Kereta Wisata Jaladaea atau Sepur Kluthuk Jaladara dapat membawa maksimal hingga 80 penumpang. Tertarik untuk naik Kereta Api Jaladara?

It's the only journey in the world, where you can take a steam train, with no train brakes at all, down a busy main road street! Very fun.

Sepur Kluthuk Jaladara Steam Tourist Train in 2014
Surakarta, or better known as Solo, in Central Java is one of a very few place in the world where you can hire 19th century steam locomotive to haul excursion train.
Named Sepur Kluthuk Jaladara, the train is hauled by steam locomotive, built by Hartmann-Chemnitz of Germany, in 1896.
Its uniqueness is enhanced by the fact that it plies one of the last surviving street running sections in Indonesia.

Indonesian State Railway B51 Steam Locomotive Running at Ambarawa
After decades of moribund state, the Hartmann-built B51 steam locomotive is finally back in running condition. The locomotive is usually worked on the flat section between Ambarawa to Tuntang. This video was made on 21st August 2014 during an outing with a German railtour company.
The effort to make this video takes a lot of hard work, as the driver had to reverse the train on several occasions in several different places.

Kereta api uap Jaladara (Hanacaraka: ꦱꦼꦥꦸꦂꦏ꧀ꦭꦸꦛꦸꦏ꧀ꦗꦭꦢꦫ , bahasa Jawa: Sepur Kluthuk Jaladara) adalah kereta api wisata yang ada di kota Solo, Indonesia. Kereta ini dijalankan dengan lokomotif uap C1218, dan beroperasi di jalur kereta api Stasiun Purwosari hingga Stasiun Solo Kota sepanjang enam kilometer. Jalan rel itu tepat bersisian dengan Jalan Slamet Riyadi yang merupakan jalan utama di tengah Kota Solo. Kereta api ini dioperasikan berkat kerja sama antara PT Kereta Api Indonesia dan Pemerintah Kota Surakarta
Lokomotif uap C 12 18 menarik dua buah gerbong kayu jati asli buatan tahun 1920 dengan kode CR 16 dan CR 144. Kapasitas optimal total untuk 2 kereta tersebut adalah 72 orang. Kereta ini menggunakan bahan bakar kayu jati, selain itu lokomotif ini juga membutuhkan air dalam jumlah banyak untuk menghasilkan uap untuk menggerakkan loko tersebut.

Indonesian narrow gauge steam locos that have made it safely to England, away from being neglected by their owners and from the hands of the scrapmen.
This video was shot at the annual Statfold Barn Enthusiasts Day, which is normally held 3 times a year. This one was shot at Saturday, 11th March 2019 in Statfold Barn Railway Museum, Tamworth, Staffordshire, England. The video features 2 steam locos that once worked in the sugar cane plantations of Java, Indonesia.
The first part shows former Trangkil no.1, an 0-4-2T built by Hunslet Locomotive Works, Leeds, and the second part shows Sragi no.1, an 0-4-2T built by Krauss, Germany.
Other steam locos that were brought from Java that are not shown but present in the museum are :
- Pakis Baru no.1, an 0-4-0T, built by O&K
- Pakis Baru no.5, an 0-4-4-0T mallet steam, built by O&K
- Sragi no.14, an 0-6-0T built by O&K
- Jatibarang no.9, 0-4-4-0T mallet built by Jung, Germany
As for the Tjepper no.5, an 0-4-4-0T mallet built by Jung, it has been exported to Barbados.
