Lake Chelan Washington
Lake Chelan is a narrow, 55-mile-long lake in Chelan County, northern Washington state, U.S. It is the largest natural lake in Washington state. The name Chelan is a Salish Indian word Tsi - Laan, meaning deep water.
Fed by streams from the Cascade Range, Lake Chelan has maximum depth of 1,486 ft (453 m) (though some sources cite 1,420 feet[citation needed]), making it the third deepest lake in the country and the 26th deepest in the world. The surface of the lake is 1,098 feet (335 m) above sea level, while the average width of the lake is one mile.
The city of Chelan sits at the southeast tip of the lake, where its water flows into the Chelan River through the hydroelectric Lake Chelan Dam. At the northwest end of the lake is the town of Stehekin, where the town's namesake river, the Stehekin River, flows into the lake. The Stehekin is the lake's largest inflow stream. Access to the far end of the lake is limited to boat, float plane, or hiking. Lake Chelan State Park lies along the southern shore of the lake, and can be accessed from the city of Chelan by road. The northern portion of the lake is protected by Lake Chelan National Recreation Area.

North Cascades, Lavenworth HW #2 & Lake Chelan in Washington State
We were driving from Bothell to Lake Chelan which is a distance of 175 miles on a 2 day trip. Since the route is mountainous and curvy it took more time to maneuver the hills while enjoying the most beautiful place on earth. The entire route is picturesque and we stopped at many places on the way. We stopped at Deception Falls, Lake Wenatchee, Leavenworth, Peshastin, Wenatchee and River Columbia. We also stopped at Chelan County hydroelectric dam and inside the dam we saw Salmon traveling upstream. Lake Chelan is a natural lake formed by glacier water. The water in the lake is pristine and clear. I enjoyed in the water swimming for some time. On the way we stayed in Holiday Inn near Wenatchee. The way is full of fruit plantation like apples and varieties of pears. We stopped to buy pears. We drove all in our black pagoda.
Landing on the Beach at Copalis State Airport
Landing in my Cessna 172 Skyhawk II on the hard sandy beach at Copalis State Airport on the Pacific Coast of Washington State. Located at the mouth of the Copalis River, Copalis is a unique airport. It is the only known beach airport in the United States, and is the only stretch of ocean beach in Washington where landing is legal. The runway is the 4500 foot stretch of ocean beach from the Copalis River on the south to the rocks a mile north.
Thanks to Ben for shooting the video while I landed the plane.
Landing Short 29 Grass at Arlington WA
I have always wondered what would happen if I didn't quite make it to the second grass section of the 29 grass runway.
