Woollahra Council OH&S in Action
Despite being warned about this dangerous and illegal practice 3 months ago, the driver of this risks injury and possible death to his offsider and the public to save a few minutes when this video was taken on the 18/08/12. The driver of this truck is already responsible for crippling a worker in another reversing situation.
It is quite apparent that Tom O'Hanlon, Woollahra Council's Technical Services director, and ultimately responsible, is either incapable of controlling Woollahra Council's Solid Waste department or just doesn't care beyond the necessary tokenism required by legislation and mission statements.
I was an atypical solid waste worker who resigned in disgust 3 months ago after getting stonewalled by Woollahra Council when he complained about getting harassed by a few opportunistic and sociopathic misanthropes in Solid waste, while he cared for his now late father who suffered vascular dementia. My father would have turned 81 on the day the video was taken.

MANLY BEACH SYDNEY AUSTRALIA FERRY TRIP
Manly is a suburb of northern Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia. Manly is located 17 kilometres north-east of the Sydney central business district and is the administrative centre of the local government area of Manly Council, in the Northern Beaches region.
Beaches
Manly Beach Manly is most notable for its beaches which are popular tourist destinations. Manly features a long stretch of sand on the ocean side, that runs from Queenscliff Beach to North Steyne Beach and Manly Beach. This is followed by rock pools and sandy beaches called Fairy Bower and Shelly Beach. There are also a number of beaches on the harbour side of the peninsula. Norfolk Island pine trees are also symbolic of Manly and are a prominent feature of both the ocean and harbour beaches.
Manly Beach is a world famous beach and an Australian landmark.
The three main sections of Manly Beach are Queenscliff, North Steyne, and South Steyne.
History
The beach was named by Capt. Arthur Phillip for the indigenous people living there. He wrote about them, Their confidence and manly behaviour made me give the name of Manly Cove to this place
One of the first seaside resorts to allow daylight swimming and surfing back in 1903, Manly offers the unique combination of wide ocean beaches on one side and serene sandy harbour coves and inlets on the other.
Try the oceanside surfing beaches and coves of Manly for active water sports: surfing, windsurfing, parasailing, snorkelling and scuba diving. Or simply sunbathe, take a dip in one of the saltwater swimming pools or swim off the patrolled beaches.
Manly Council is a proud partner of the NSW Cancer Council
For a different beach experience enjoy the sheltered sandy beach and gentle waves of Manly Cove, on the harbour side right next to the Wharf - ideal for family picnics, sailing, fishing, building sandcastles or just relax in the sun.
Join the visitors and locals on the long beachfront promenade and cycleways to stroll, jog, rollerblade or bike ride.
Safety
For safety in the surf you should only swim between the red and yellow flags which mark the safest swimming areas. Manly's beaches are patrolled all year round by lifeguards.

Phantom Drone on Spit bridge to Manly walk trail, Sydney Northern Beaches
The great walk between the famous Spit Bridge to Manly would have to be the most scenic walk trail spanning approximately 10kms along Sydney's Northern Beaches foreshore.
It is my favorite running trail and should be high on your list of things to do if visiting Sydney. Hopefully my short clip shows the highlights of the trail and inspires you to put some shoes on and hit the trail. Enjoy

Trams in Sydney
The Sydney tramway network once served Sydney, the capital city of New South Wales, Australia. In its heyday, it was the largest in Australia, the second largest in the Commonwealth of Nations, and one of the largest in the world. The network was heavily worked, with about 1,600 cars in service at any one time at its peak during the 1930s.
Throughout the first half of the twentieth century, an average of more than one tram journey per day was made in Sydney by every man and woman, infant and child in the city. Patronage peaked in 1945 at 405 million passenger journeys. The system was in place from 1879 until its winding down in the 1950s and closure in 1961. It had a maximum street mileage of 181 miles, in 1923.
