This was of the most amazing day I spent in Russia. A real test of my body and endurance as I completed 16 km hiking to Stolby natural reserve. Special thanx to Tamara for taking me to this place.
Stolby Nature Reserve (Russian:запове́дник «Столбы́»), (in English, The Pillars) is a Russian strict nature reserve located 10 km south of the city of Krasnoyarsk, on the northwestern spurs of the Eastern Sayan Mountains. Stolby is one of the the oldest natural reserves in Russia. It was founded in 1925th by the initiative of the local people, who were fighting for the preservation of the forests and mountains of the area. The most part of the Natural reserve, 90 percent of it, is restricted from visiting, but 4 percent is open to the public.

An INDIAN TRAVELER CONQUERED STOLBY in RUSSIA | KRASNOYARSK PILLARS | HIKING in RUSSIA |2019
Hello All,
Finally, I conquered STOLBY mountains. I never hiked 16 km before this and yes it requires lot of endurance. It was tough but at the end the scenic view that you get from the top of the hill is breath - taking and you feel so close to nature. I am sure you will enjoy the video. I must tell you there are certain things which you should take care before you enter STOLBY natural reserve. I have tried to make you aware of all that you will experience here. Do comment on this video and let me know your views...

EATING PINE CONES in SIBERIA | Krasnoyarsk, Russia
Siberia, Russia - From Yekaterinburg and the Ural Mountains, we head east on the Trans-Siberian Railway to Novosibirsk. We only have a 6-hour layover in Novosibirsk so we meet up with Yaro's Russian friend and head to a beach along the Ob River close to the city of Novosibirsk.
From Novosibirsk, it's back on the Trans-Siberian Railway through Siberia to Krasnoyarsk. Here we take a much-needed rest day, and then hike the Stolby Nature Reserve.
Stolby National Park is one of the oldest parks in Russia, and it is absolutely beautiful! Stolby Nature Sanctuary features incredible rock formations and we climbed to the top of one to get an amazing view of Siberia. I love this region of Russia along the Trans-Siberian Railway!

THE RUSSIA YOU NEVER SEE | Ulan-Ude, Russia
Ulan-Ude, Russia - From Stolby National Park in Krasnoyarsk, we continue east on the Trans-Siberian Railway to Ulan-Ude. The Capital of Buryatia, Ulan-Ude is our jump-off point for exploring the Buryatia region.
We start with a visit to Ivolginsky Datsan - a significant Russian Buddhist Temple, as well as a visit to lama Dashi-Dorzho Itigilov, one of Ivolginsky Datsan sacred Buddhists objects of Russia.
After a blessing from a Buddhist Lama outside Ulan-Ude, we make a 3-hour journey deep in the great Russian Steppe of Southern Siberia.
The small Russian family farm community on the border of Mongolia in Buryatia was a highlight of the Trans-Siberian Railway adventure across Russia. We rode horses, wrestled, learned about the Buryatia culture and customs, and ate a feast! It was a true Russia travel experience!
I walk away from this feeling incredibly humbled to be invited into this parallel universe - far removed from anything I knew or have seen in Russia so far.
If you ever have the opportunity to travel Russia, and experience the Trans-Siberian Railway, I highly recommend it! See you next week from Lake Baikal!
