“‘Ishi no Kyokai’ (Stone Church) Kanzo UCHIMURA Memorial Hall” in Karuizawa-machi, Kitasaku-gun, Nagano Prefecture, has a unique form where stone and glass arches overlap, giving off a mysterious charm.
It is an impressive church with a unique “organic architecture” that perfectly harmonizes with nature and space. A space with a solemn and sacred atmosphere made of stone and glass is like a marriage that supports each other.
As the name suggests, water flows through the churches that are made of stone, and light shines through the gaps between the stones, so you can feel the dynamism of a building as if it were alive.

Karuizava is one of the beautiful cities in Japan. Think about a perfect town out of the city reach covered in mountains. And jungle across a perfect place for shopping and dining. Beautiful weather and perfect atmosphere and pretty place indeed if you wish to talk to yourself just in case you do not have a girlfriend to walk you through. Karuizawa is a resort town in the mountains near Nagano, Japan. It’s known for mild summers conducive to outdoor recreation like golf. Forests in the surrounding area offer cycling and walking paths along with sites like Kumoba Pond and Shiraito Falls.
When I got down from the train I found a tourist information center right at the corner of the station. Soon I had enough information to move forward and to explore the beautiful town. I walked through numerous stores out there which to me it made it a shopping district with quite a huge number of brands displayed at one place to pick and choose. And not just that there is a beautiful ground with green grass adjacent to it where I found a little pond with colorful fish adding to the beauty of it.
Skiing and hot springs are popular in the winter. Kyu-Karuizawa, the old town center, is the site of a pedestrian shopping strip.

I often go to this good reasonable French restaurant to have lunch. It is located on 2nd floor of Tsuchiya Liquor Store in Kyu-Karuizawa street.
The special lunch course is fabulous!! I enjoyed foie gras salad, Shinshu beef steak and cake for only 2500yen!
I recommend you this good restaurant when you come to Karuizawa Japan.

輕井澤町（日语：軽井沢町／かるいざわまち Karuizawa machi ）是日本長野縣東部的町。屬北佐久郡。以避暑、山莊而聞名。有大量的觀光客涌入。并為地方交付稅不交付自治体。2005年，約有780万人來訪該地。1964年的東京奧運會和1998年的長野冬季奧運會都在這裡有項目進行。是世界唯一的一個冬季、夏季奧林匹克運動會均設有比賽場地的町。輕井澤町有星野集团的总部。
石頭教會是一位美國建築家為了紀念內村鑑三而蓋。內村鑑三曾說：「只有在大自然中才能真正的祈禱」 。人是自然的一部分，應與自然共同成長，只要誠心祈禱，大自然中處處都是教堂。所以設計了一座融合石、光、水、樹木、綠色的教堂。整間教堂由玻璃和石頭堆砌而成，顛覆了傳統對教堂外型的概念，獨一無二呀！石頭代表強壯的男性，玻璃代表柔和的女性。
「白糸の滝」直接翻成中文的話是「白絲瀑布」，日本全國各地有許多的「白糸の滝」，其中以靜岡和輕井澤的兩座「白糸の滝」最為著名。輕井澤的「白糸の滝」位於山上，是徒步或是騎腳踏車無法抵達的距離（以「一般人」來說啦！），要前往「白糸の滝」唯有搭公車或是自駕了。
