Hey guys, I am at the Vittala temple in Hampi, and I am gonna show you the mystery of the musical pillars. This structure, called the musical hall is now closed for renovation. However, I managed to get the actual sounds from these pillars. Here is a pillar which shows a man playing ancient drums, if you tap this, you will hear the sound of these drums. Now, here is the sound of a temple bell. And here is the sound of a school bell. Now, you can combine various sounds to create even modern sounds, for example, this is the combination of the temple bell and school bell to create the modern day door bell. How do these different pillars create various sounds? But this is nothing, when you take this pillar that is made of one stone and has small columns carved onto it. However, if you tap on them, they create the seven notes of the musical scale in Indian classical music which is similar to do, re, mi, fa, sol, la, ti in the western world. What kind of stone technology existed in ancient India that could mimic the sounds of musical instruments? We can see many, many different sounds of advanced ancient instruments like Jal tarang, which uses water waves, Ghatam which uses terracotta pots, and even sounds of string instruments are created on these pillars.
How do these pillars, made of the same material, which is granite create these various sounds? Is it possible, that the ancient builders, somehow created holes inside these pillars. Because the only way to make different sounds from the same material of the same size is to alter its density. So do these pillars have holes inside them, that creates various sounds? The British had the same question in mind, and they not only took a huge pillar like this one but also cut one of the small columns to see what was in it. Here you can see the column that is missing, this was cut by the British during pre-independence in 1930s. And they were surprised to find that all these pillars and columns are just made of solid rock.
So, if there are no holes inside these pillars, how do you make them create different sounds. If they altered the dimensions like height, width and diameter, you could at least make them sound a little bit different. This is why we tap on walls to find out if they are thin or thick, because it will sound different. But if you look closely, all the columns have the same height, width and diameter, yet they create the seven notes of the Indian musical scale.
If they are all of the same dimensions, same material, and don't have holes inside, how do they create different musical sounds. The only way this could be achieved is by changing the intrinsic density of the pillars, by adding a new material to it in different proportions, like modern day alloys. Today, we melt various metals and add them in different ratios to create the desired effect. However, did ancient builders melt solid blocks of granite and mix it with other materials to create different sounds? Locals argue that the musical pillars were created by rock melting technology. As evidence, they say that chains made of rocks were hooked to these corners on the ceiling. Now, this would be impossible without melting the rocks. These rock chains were later destroyed during foreign invasion just like the temple tower. A chain made of solid rock - is something like that even possible? Why do these corners of Hampi temple have empty hooks? Based on a tip, I traveled to Kancheepuram, which is 300 miles from Hampi. And here, we can see the chains hanging from the hooks on the corners. Yes, these chains, with many links, are in fact made of stone! Archeologists have confirmed that these are made of stone and were created at least 700 years ago! How could anyone create these stone chains with primitive tools? Even today, such a technology is not possible with modern machines. What kind of machines were used in ancient times and how were they able to create these chains made of rock?

Music pillars of Hampi – Travel Karnataka
Hampi is purely magical. My four day trip to Hampi was amazing, four days are not enough to explore it's beauty, they say there are several numbers of Musical pillars in Hampi, the main ones are in the Vitthala temple complex. The guide shown me few of them, then I started discovering more Musical pillars by myself. I spent almost a day finding pillars that produce music. This pillar is from the Achyutaraya Temple complex, I found this particular pillar produce best tonal variations.
**This video was featured in Ancient Aliens show on History Channel**
Update:
*This is not Alien technology*
According to 'Shilpa Rathna Ajithagamana' – a Kannada language literature of Vijayanagara period, these pillars are made by Casting method.
1. Rocks were melted into liquid form.
2. Sand and other minerals were mixed into the molten rock.
3. Molten rock poured into the shape of the pillars, then cut and carved carefully.
4. These pillars were installed meticulously in presence of musicians during night, in absolute silence.
these pillars are mainly categorized into two different types:
1. 'Sthri Shile' which resonates like Veena and other string instruments.
2. 'Poon Shile' resonates like percussion instruments such as Tabala, Mrudanga etc.
The book also mentioned how Rangamantapa at Vijaya Vittala Temple, Viroopaksha temple and various other temples were built. Definitely not aliens, but epic craftsmanship of ancient Hindus.

How does the Hanging Pillar of India work? Anti-gravity? Levitation?

Hey guys, I am at Lepakshi temple in India, and I am gonna show you not just the mystery of the hanging pillar, but also show you exactly how it works. In this temple, you can see many people doing the same thing: Put a piece of cloth underneath and slide it around the other side, proving that the pillar is disconnected from the floor. This is considered one of the wonders of India, how did ancient people construct a huge pillar that defies gravity and is hanging in mid air?
These kind of mysteries always interest me, so I decided to visit the temple. Right from the start, I am fascinated by the carvings in this temple, like this cow for example, which shows multiple postures in the same sculpture. But that’s another video, so I end up at this hanging pillar which attracts thousands of tourists every day.
As you can see this is a huge block of granite around 20 feet tall, with brilliant carvings. Now, I just have to prove it to you that this pillar is disconnected from the floor. So, I ask this elderly couple who have come with a towel. Watch how they slide the towel on one side, and it goes all the way on the other side. This shows that ancient technology employed anti-gravity and levitation, because there is no way a 20 foot granite block which weighs many tons can hang in mid-air.
So, how does it actually work, and attract thousands of visitors every day? It works, because nobody is showing you the rest of the footage. We have dozens of videos of the this hanging pillar on YouTube, but nobody shows you what happens next: Here is what happens.
You can slide a piece of cloth through one end, but you cannot pull it out on the other end. If the pillar is completely disconnected from the floor, we should be able to pull the cloth on the other side. However, the cloth I slide is gonna get stuck in one of the corners. The pillar is not really hanging in mid air, because one of its corners is clearly resting on the floor, which is how it still stands. If you examine it closely, you can visually confirm this. The pillar does not employ anti-gravity or levitation.
So, did the ancient people create an imperfect pillar? Well it turns out that the British Government decided to do some repairs during pre-independence era, and attempted to remove the pillar. But they couldn’t, because it was fixed so perfectly, they could only dislodge it. They realized that removing this pillar is impossible, so they left it in this weird position. That is the true story behind this dislodged pillar. However, there is a bigger mystery in this temple, that needs to be decoded. Did Giants leave a footprint in this temple?

Ancient Vimana Discovered in Secret Underground Chamber? Srirangam Temple, India

Website....................
Hey guys, what you are seeing is the actual footage of a secret underground chamber in the ancient temple of Srirangam in India. This underground chamber was discovered in 2015 and experts confirm that this is an authentic video. The temple of Srirangam is at least 2000 years old and contains many ancient secrets. A week after this chamber was opened, authorities completely closed it and sealed with granite blocks and metal doors, which is what you see here. There is no way to enter or examine it now. What was inside the underground vault which was so secretive, that the entire structure had to be sealed off? I have been talking to several locals about this, and this is what really happened.
Until 2015, this entrance was closed with 2 doors made of granite stone blocks and nobody knew how to open them. Authorities finally broke these doors, and entered the room at the ground level. Look at what is carved on the top of this doorway. It undoubtedly shows 2 doors closing the entrance and there is a conical sign below, pointing vertically underneath the floor. These were ancient symbols clearly pointing to something important, I am not sure if this is why authorities decided to break the doors and go in. When authorities entered this room at the ground level, they found a conical sign carved on the floor. They started removing the rocks on the floor in that spot, and they found that it leads to this underground vault.
You can clearly see that this chamber is at the underground level. But another chamber was also discovered directly underneath this level as well. Construction workers who saw it with their own eyes confirm this. You can see a small rectangle covered with dirt, and a pole placed on it. This was the doorway that led to the next underground level, which had something extraordinary. It is obvious that authorities have covered this with a stone block, put some dirt and placed a pole on it, so no one can open it. There would be no need for the pole, if there was nothing underneath. There is no footage of the 2nd underground chamber, and authorities completely sealed everything within a week after opening that chamber.
What did the underground vault have? Why was the contents not shown to the public? It is obvious that there was some ancient secret inside the vaults, because if the chambers were really empty, there is no need to seal off everything. I said chambers because look at here (2.05) this is a door knob which would lead to the next vault. And (1.12 ) look - this is a new block, placed recently. These evidences prove that authorities found more vaults nearby and then closed everything off.

9 Ton Gate - Megalithic Miracle at Coral Castle, Florida

Website....................
We are at coral castle in Florida, and let’s take a look at the most mysterious structure in this castle – called the 9 ton gate. This 8 foot tall revolving gate has not only baffled common people but has also challenged modern day engineers. By the end of this video, I hope you will agree with me that this gate could not have been built by a single man unless he knew some kind of a secret ancient technology.
The nine ton gate no longer works, but here is a smaller 3 ton gate which still works. Edward Leedskalnin considered the 9 ton gate as a master piece and named this place after this gate, so the original name of Coral castle was Rock Gate Park. Ironically the door did not get much attention from experts before it stopped working in 1986. So the owner initially calls a local construction crew and they take a good look at this gate and tell him that they have no idea how to fix it. Now, the owner decides to call the quote on quote “educated engineers” and calls the University of Florida. They send in a team of 6 engineers and they arrive with plenty of modern equipment including a 20 ton crane. Now, keep in mind Ed did not use any modern equipment and built this door without anyone’s help.
When the engineers took the door down, they saw that Ed had not only modified simple car parts like axle shaft and ball bearings of a 1918 ford truck, but had also used a strange circular stone at the bottom. The engineers couldn't understand how this Frisbee sized rock could withstand 9 tons of weight. So, they sent it to the geology department in the University of Florida. Guess what happened? A month later, the expert geologists simply returned the rock to coral castle and told the owner “hey, We have compared this rock with almost all other types of rocks on this planet, and we have even compared it with meteorites, but we cannot determine the origin of this rock. “So, where did this rock come from? How did a man with a fourth grade education who rode nothing more than a bike, get a hold of this rock?
Anyways, the engineers put the gate back with new shaft and new bearings, but removed the rock because they were the experts and they could do better than the uneducated Ed Leedskalnin. You know what happened? It got stuck, and did not move. Believe it or not they had to shave the rock down, to make it work. This just proves that 6 experts with all their modern techniques could not duplicate what Ed had done single-handedly without modern equipment or techniques.
Now the original door which lasted from 1936 to 1986 could be moved by an 8 year old girl with one finger. After 1986, it was not that easy, but a grown man could move the door with one hand. But it only lasted until 2004 and then it ceased. At that time, 3 different teams of engineers looked at it and basically said “Leave it alone, it could crack open like an egg”. Because this rock is made of honeycomb coral, which is very brittle and it will break if you give a strong tap with a hammer. How could Ed quarry and cut this huge stone without breaking it? And how could Ed drill a hole exactly through the center of balance even though this rock is not a perfect rectangle?
Now, he claimed that he could build Coral Castle because he knew the secret behind the construction of the great pyramid. Strabo, a Greek geographer found a similar revolving door in the pyramid of Giza. He has documented that in 24 B.C while exploring the Pyramid, he stumbled on a large rectangular door made of rock. He mentions that this door leads to a long, narrow passage and when the door is shut, it is so perfect that it seems like any other rock in the Pyramid. Today, experts are still searching for this door. This raises the question if Ed really knew the secret behind the Pyramid of Giza? Is that why he was able to build a similar door in Coral castle?
Finally, there are many people who claim that Ed was simply a con man and a pseudoscientist. Here we have a pseudoscientist who could quarry, cut and put in place a 9 ton door without anyone’s help or modern technology. And we have the real scientists who come in as a team and with all their modern equipment and scientific calculations cannot duplicate what a pseudoscientist created. So you tell me, who the real scientist is and who should be labeled as pseudoscientists?
Please visit for intriguing and interesting places on the planet.

Hampi Happenings
Hampi, in northern Karnataka state, India, is a World Heritage Site containing the ruins of Vijayanagara, the former capital of the Vijayanagara Empire which predates the arrival of the Moghuls from Persia whose architects created more familiar treasures like the Taj Mahal. Hampi's religious and cultural monuments are breathtaking, sitting as they do among the giant boulders which predominate in this area.
I was here recently and enjoyed not just the environment and the architecture but also local colour, captured in this video. If you come here, eat at The Mango Tree in the centre of town, almost in the shadow of the majestic Virupaksha Temple, where you may run into, as I did, colourful soothsayers who will compete with the monkeys for your attention. Hampi is accessible by air or by road from Bangalore.
Old Wood Door & antique doors designs
islamic patterns islamic geometric patterns The earliest in records are those represented in the paintings of the Egyptian tombs, in which they are shown as single or double doors, each in a single piece of wood. Doors were once believed to be the literal doorway to the afterlife, and some doors leading to important places included designs of the afterlife. In Egypt, where the climate is intensely dry, there would be no fear of their warping, but in other countries it would be necessary to frame them, which according to Vitruvius (iv. 6.) was done with stiles (sea/si) and rails (see: Frame and panel): the spaces enclosed being filled with panels (tympana) let into grooves made in the stiles and rails. The stiles were the vertical boards, one of which, tenoned or hinged, is known as the hanging stile, the other as the middle or meeting stile. The horizontal cross pieces are the top rail, bottom rail, and middle or intermediate rails. The most ancient doors were in timber, those made for King Solomon's temple being in olive wood (I Kings vi. 31-35), which were carved and overlaid with gold. The doors dwelt upon in Homer would appear to have been cased in silver or brass. Besides olive wood, elm, cedar, oak and cypress were used. A 5,000-year-old door has been found by archaeologists in Switzerland.[2]
islamic civilization achievements
Stone door, Hampi, India
All ancient doors were hung by pivots at the top and bottom of the hanging stile which worked in sockets in the lintel and sill, the latter being always in some hard stone such as basalt or granite. Those found at Nippur by Dr. Hilprecht dating from 2000 B.C. were in dolerite. The tenons of the gates at Balawat were sheathed with bronze (now in the British Museum). These doors or gates were hung in two leaves, each about 8 ft 4 in (2.54 m) wide and 27 ft (8.2 m). high; they were encased with bronze bands or strips, 10 in. high, covered with repouss decoration of figures, etc. The wood doors would seem to have been about 3 in. thick, but the hanging stile was over 14 inches (360 mm) diameter. Other sheathings of various sizes in bronze have been found, which proves this to have been the universal method adopted to protect the wood pivots. In the Hauran in Syria, where timber is scarce the doors were made in stone, and one measuring 5 ft 4 in (1.63 m) by 2 ft 7 in (0.79 m) is in the British Museum; the band on the meeting stile shows that it was one of the leaves of a double door. At Kuffeir near Bostra in Syria, Burckhardt found stone doors, 9 to 10 ft (3.0 m). high, being the entrance doors of the town. In Etruria many stone doors are referred to by Dennis.
Roman folding doors at Pompeii (1st century AD)
The ancient Greek and Roman doors were either single doors, double doors, triple doors, sliding doors or folding doors, in the last case the leaves were hinged and folded back. In Eumachia, is a painting of a door with three leaves. In the tomb of Theron at Agrigentum there is a single four-panel door carved in stone. In the Blundell collection is a bas-relief of a temple with double doors, each leaf with five panels. Among existing examples, the bronze doors in the church of SS. Cosmas and Damiano, in Rome, are important examples of Roman metal work of the best period; they are in two leaves, each with two panels, and are framed in bronze. Those of the Pantheon are similar in design, with narrow horizontal panels in addition, at the top, bottom and middle. Two other bronze doors of the Roman period are in the Lateran Basilica.
The Greek scholar Heron of Alexandria created the earliest known automatic door in the 1st century AD during the era of Roman Egypt.[3] The first foot-sensor-activated automatic door was made in China during the reign of Emperor Yang of Sui (r. 604–618), who had one installed for his royal library.[3] The first automatic gate operators were later created in 1206 by the Arabic inventor, Al-Jazari.[4][need quotation to verify]
Copper and its alloys were integral in medieval architecture. The doors of the church of the Nativity at Bethlehem (6th century) are covered with plates of bronze, cut out in patterns. Those of Hagia Sophia at Constantinople, of the 8th and 9th century, are wrought in bronze, and the west doors of the cathedral of Aix-la-Chapelle (9th century), of similar manufacture, were probably brought from Constantinople, as also some of those in St. Marks, Venice. The bronze doors on the Aachen Cathedral in Germany date back to about AD 800. Bronze baptistery doors at the Cathedral of Florence were completed in 1423 by Ghiberti.[5] (For more information, see: Copper in architecture).
Musical pillars at Vithala Temple, Hampi
As the epicenter of Hampi's attractions, Vittala Temple is the most extravagant architectural showpiece of Hampi. No amount of words can explain this spectacle. The temple is built in the form of a sprawling campus with compound wall and gateway towers. There are many halls, pavilions and temples located inside this campus.
Vittala, after whom the temple is known, is a form of lord Vishnu. This aspect of Vishnu was worshiped in this part of the country as their cult deity by the cattle herds (see Gods of Hampi).
The temple was originally built in the 15th century AD. Many successive kings have enhanced the temple campus during their regimes to the present form. You can even see the remains of a township called Vittalapura that existed around this temple complex. The highlight of Vittala temple is its impressive pillared halls and the stone chariot. The halls are carved with an overwhelming array of sculptures on the giant granite pillars. The stone chariot located inside the campus is almost an iconic structure of Hampi.

Decoding The Secret Holes of Vittala Temple, Hampi - WHY were they Drilled?
Follow Me on:

Facebook..............
Website....................
Hey guys, I am at the ancient Vitthala temple in Hampi, and I just found out - there are strange holes drilled all around the temple. It appears that no one has noticed them, because they are not easy to find, unless you examine these walls very closely. These series of holes are just about a centimeter wide. How did ancient builders drill these holes on granite, which is one of the hardest rocks in the world? Today, we use diamond tipped drill bits to create such holes on granite, but how was it done in ancient times? But there is something much more fascinating. Directly above this series of holes, we can see another row of holes, a little bit bigger than the ones below. And there is a third row of holes right above this as well, making the pattern much more complex.
But the most important question is not how they drilled these holes, but why? Why were these holes drilled all around the temple? Archeologists say these were created for mere decoration, for simple reasons like placing flowers or incense sticks all around the temple, but these theories are not convincing. Is there a way to find out if these holes were made for mere decoration or if they were an important part of the temple's design? See, the ancient builders were extremely intelligent, they predicted these structures would be destroyed in the future by human beings. So they created a small 3d model of the temple within the temple itself which details the most important aspects of the temple. Here you can see that this model shows how the original temple looked before it was destroyed by invaders. It was complete, with multiple levels and finished with these objects called Kalasha which is how a finished temple would look. But why am I randomly showing you this model, while discussing about the holes in the temple? Because, if these holes around the temple were carved for a very important reason, the 3d model would also have these holes. If they were drilled for mere decoration, it won't be detailed in the model because the model only shows you the most important features of the temple.
So, I examined this model to see if there are any holes carved on it, and I find exactly what I am looking for. Here are a series of very minute holes carved in the model, these holes are actually just 1 millimeter wide. I think I have just discovered the smallest holes ever drilled in ancient times. I mean, 1 millimeter holes on granite, created by ancient builders - How is something like this even possible without the help of machines? Remember, this whole city of Hampi is full of evidence about ancient machining technology and I showed you how they used lathe machines in my previous video.. you can click on the card on the top right corner to see it.
So these minute holes on the model prove that the holes were not created for mere decoration, but an important part of the temple's design. But the big question that needs to be answered is this: Why were these holes drilled all around the temple? Remember, I have shown you something very similar in Brihadeeswara temple which was built a thousand years ago, and this structure also has these minute holes all around its base. Why do these ancient temples have minute holes drilled all around the base?
To understand this, we have to examine what ancient temples actually represent. You might wonder why ancient Indian temples always look like rocket spacecraft, well they were in fact designed specifically to look like spacecraft. The main structure inside any temple complex is called Vimana, which actually means aircraft or spacecraft.
All Hindu temples have this Vimana, which is always aerodynamically shaped. This structure at Hampi has been destroyed, but from the model, we can clearly see that this Vimana is also aerodynamically shaped with multiple levels.

Ancient Lathe Machine Found in Hampi, India - Lost Technology Discovered?

Website....................
Hey guys, this is the ancient site of Hampi that has been abandoned for at least 500 years, and here we can see this rock that shows solid evidence of machining technology. These perfect circular marks on this rock can be produced only with machines. This process is called facing, and we use the same technology today using lathe machines. It is covered with dirt when I found it, so I cleaned it up. Now, If you look at these circles, they are perfectly concentric and there is no deviation, no chipping in the rock, very similar to modern day technology. The rectangular slot in the center proves that this rock was machined using lathe technology. So, how was this created at least 500 years ago, at a time when historians claim there was no such technology? Were ancient builders using high tech machines many centuries ago, just like today? If this is true, we should not only find finished products like this circular rock, but we should also find the entire mechanism that was able to create this finished product. Is it possible that the entire mechanism, the lathe itself can be found in the same area?
Now, if we take a step back and look at the entire picture, it has some very interesting components. It has two posts with circular holes near the top, which obviously means that a cylindrical rod was inserted between them, like this. This is a simple model that I am recreating, which I will show side by side, so you can understand this better. Nearby, we can see a long rectangular slab, with a hole in the center. When I measured the length of the slab, it matches exactly with the distance between the two posts. What does this mean? This means that the slab would fit perfectly between these posts. I am using this green rectangular styrofoam block which represents the slab in my model. So, the set up would look like this.
If a metal tool was placed on this cylinder, pointing downwards, it looks like a modern day vertical lathe machine. I am going to use a pen for the metal tool in my model. This rectangular slab would be the base plate on which circular rocks could be placed and machined. Here is a simple round object which represents the circular rock and I place it on the rectangular slab, and if I rotate the circular rock, and lower the tool from the top, we can create these identical tool marks. See the similarity of the circles between this model, and the actual rock. My model has not rotated on a perfect axis, so you see that the circles are not as good, but the work of ancient builders was perfect. This set up actually proves that ancient people used vertical lathe technology, at least 500 years ago.
What's even more interesting is that you can see some circular wear and tear on the base plate as well. Look at the base plate, you can see these half circular marks caused by the rotating objects which were placed on top of it. The other half shows no such tool marks, because these marks were created by accident, by friction from the rotating objects placed above. You can see the same marks beginning to form on my model as well.
All these evidences clearly prove that machining technology, specifically vertical lathe technology was used in India, at least 500 years ago, and some archeologists even say this site was built 2300 years ago. So, I think I have just discovered the oldest machining set up, known to mankind, and it is lying in plain sight, abandoned and covered in dirt.

BEAUTIFUL CARVINGS ON GRANITE PILLARS IN VIRUPAKSHA TEMPLE,HAMPI || india || hampi || unesco site
Hampi - The Virupaksha Temple.
Virupaksha Temple is located in Hampi, in the state of Karnataka in southern India.
It is part of the Group of Monuments at Hampi, designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Virupaksha is a form of Shiva and has other temples dedicated to him, notably at the Group of Monuments at Pattadakal, another World Heritage Site.
Hampi sits on the banks of the Tungabhadra River in the ruins of the ancient city of Vijayanagar, capital of the Vijayanagara empire.
Virupaksha Temple is the main center of pilgrimage at Hampi and has been considered the most sacred sanctuary over the centuries. It is fully intact among the surrounding ruins and is still used in worship. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva, known here as Virupaksha, as the consort of the local goddess Pampa who is associated with the Tungabhadra River.
History[edit]
The temple's history is uninterrupted from about the 7th century. The Virupaksha-Pampa sanctuary existed well before the Vijayanagara capital was located here. Inscriptions referring to Shiva date back to the 9th and 10th centuries.[2] What started as a small shrine grew into a large complex under the Vijayanagara rulers.[3] Evidence indicates there were additions made to the temple in the late Chalukyan and Hoysala periods, though most of the temple buildings are attributed to the Vijayanagar period.[4]
Under the Vijayanagara rulers, in the middle of the 14th century, there began a flowering of native art and culture. When the rulers were defeated by invaders in the 16th century, most of the wonderful decorative structures and creations were systematically destroyed.
The cult of Virupaksha-Pampa did not end with the destruction of the city in 1565. Worship there has persisted throughout the years. At the beginning of the 19th century there were major renovations and additions, which included ceiling paintings and the towers of the north and east gopura.
Temple structure:
At present, the main temple consists of a sanctum, three ante chambers, a pillared hall and an open pillared hall. A pillared cloister, entrance gateways, courtyards, smaller shrines and other structures surround the temple.
The nine-tiered eastern gateway, which is the largest at 50 meters, is well-proportioned and incorporates some earlier structures. It has a brick superstructure and a stone base. It gives access to the outer court containing many sub-shrines.
The smaller eastern gateway leads to the inner court with its numerous smaller shrines.
A narrow channel of the Tungabhadra River flows along the temple's terrace and then descends to the temple-kitchen and out through the outer court.
Krishnadevaraya, one of the famous kings of the Vijayanagara Empire was a major patron of this temple. The most ornate of all structures in the temple, the central pillared hall is believed to be his addition to this temple. So is the gateway tower giving access to the inner courtyard of the temple. Inscriptions on a stone plaque installed next to the pillared hall explain his contribution to the temple. It is recorded that Krishna Devaraya commissioned this hall in 1510 AD.
An evening spot to hang out. This temple complex makes you feel being spiritual and you will love the atmosphere around with all those cows, monkeys and elephants wandering around human souls.

Hoysaleswara Temple, India - Built with Ancient Machining Technology?

Hey guys, in this video I am going to show you some solid evidence of ancient machining technology at Hoysaleswara temple. There is something very strange about these pillars. If you look closely, you can see these minute circular marks all around the pillar. These are created as a result of machining the pillar on a lathe, this process is called turning. There is no way to achieve this with chisels and hammers manually. If you look at these pillars, it is crystal clear that they were made with machines. In fact, archeologists agree that these pillars were created in a lathe, but offer no convincing explanation as to how these huge pillars were machined, 900 years ago. Nowadays, we are able to create these fascinating grooves and designs on a lathe, but machining a 12 foot tall stone pillar would be a very difficult job, even today. So, how were these pillars created with amazing perfection in ancient times? Did ancient builders use machines and advanced tools, just like what we use today? If this is true, is it possible that they also carved these machines or tools in this temple?
Here you can see a very strange device in the hands of a god called Masana Bhairava. This clearly represents a type of gear mechanism called planetary gears. The outer Gear has 32 teeth and the inner gear has exactly half the number or 16 teeth, which is precisely how we use reduction gears today. If this were just an imaginary tool, how could the ancient sculptors come up with this gear ratio of 2:1? Even more interesting, we can also see a fastener that goes around this mechanism and is locked in at the center. Today, we use the exact same technology, we use something called a circlip lock or a snap ring to keep these things in place. If historians are right, how could primitive people, working with chisels and hammers imagine such a mechanism? Is it possible that advanced machining technology was used 900 years ago? Is this why, we see such perfect pillars? What's more interesting is that this god is called MasanaBhairava which means God of measurement. Is it a coincidence that the God of measurement is holding an advanced tool?
