AstroZone Series 3 and 4 WIP Paul Moss Astronomy Aotearoa Sharing Space Stonehenge Aotearoa
AstroZone Series 3 and 4 WIP low quality preview video, the master is made at FULL HD for BluRay
I think you would like this, please set the resolution to maximum, allow the video to download fully or download it and play on a FULL HD system. It is well worth the effort!! seriously, the stars only look good at full res, 1080, on a 50in lcd screen.
Actually this one is only 720p 1280 x 720 but the principle remains, go for full res when looking at star video from me.
Really need the Full HD to see star pics in the manner that they are created, I'm reworking my still collection to a parallel set of video works, so that I can deliver both styles to any exhibitions that we get, building on the Istanbul thingy. would eb keen to know if anyone else has been exploring this in enzed, as art. feel free to check them out. worth pulling down first in 720/1080, and playing after its fully loaded on a decent system, seriously, otherwise the impact of the intricacy and sheer numbers of stars is somewhat lost.

The video pieces are created from both day and night high resolution stills, taken at Stonehenge Aotearoa, New Zealand, situated in the Wairarapa countryside approximately 10 minutes drive from the town of Carterton. The base photographs are exposures on a Canon EOS 20D slr, day images in 2010 and night images in May 2008. The astronomy night images are processed in photoshop to create a gallery of stills for global exhibition, in formats up to full print size (3500x2300pixels), and can be viewed at Sharing Space website, astronomy.net.nz . The night images are created using the camera on a driven platform, an astrolabe, that follows the movement of the stars. The day images are specially prepared to enable the astronomical sky to replace the day sky, and for the moonlit night look, for the night sequences. The sky and henge relationships are purely artistic, no attempt has been made to simulate reality in this work. A future work is planned where the two objects are to be photographed together to create both a scientifically accurate and artistically pleasing outcome.

In this video I take a drive to the Southern Wairarapa, I talk about EV DC rapid charger network by charge.net.nz . I talk about cafes and coffee, mobility and accessibility. I talk about Stonehenge Aotearoa.
It is possible to get public transport to Martinborough, it looks like $19.50 each way. Renting a car for 24 hours look more reasonable.
The Classic New Zealand Wine Trail.
I include J1772 chargers at Pack'n'Save Petone Supermarket.
The driving time from Wellington Railway station to Martinborough, Greytown and back to Wellington is about three hours, the distance is about 200km. If you were making this trip in a Nissan Leaf, I would recommend charging at Featherston.

Perhaps the most frequently inquired after house in Wairarapa is a derelict mansion that sits atop a ridge in the Ahiaruhe district, across the road from Stonehenge Aotearoa. It must surely be the most photographed building in Wairarapa.
It has all the requisites to become a local legend. It sits in a very prominent position, high above the road from Carterton to Martinborough, and the many people who visit Stonehenge Aotearoa pass by it. It has a desolate feel – many are sure that it has a tragic history and insist that it is a house haunted by the specter of a woman killed in its confines many years earlier. Others insist it is built on the remains of an old Maori village and the spirits of generations of ancestors visit at night.
The reality is slightly more prosaic than that, although one element of the strong myths that have built up about his abandoned homestead may actually be true. The house may have seen deaths.
The story starts in Palmerston North, where the house was constructed in 1925, for the ex-medical superintendent of Palmerston North Hospital, Dr G.A Forrest. Doctor Forrest was born in Motherwell, Scotland, the son of a doctor, and trained at Edinburgh University. In 1911 he came to New Zealand, working at Oxford, Canterbury then served three years in World War One with the New Zealand Medical Corps. She he returned he took up the position of medical superintendent of Palmerston North Hospital before resigning and working in private practice in the house he built in Broadway Avenue, then called Broad Street.
He was not to work in the house for long, dying in October 1929. The house was subsequently owned by two more doctors (Dr Wilson and Dr. Swallow), both of whom used the building as a surgery and residence, until 1972. In 1984 it became the legal offices of Fitzherbert Abraham & Co. By then the garage had been demolished and a brick wall constructed along the front. In 1986 the house was removed to Ahiaruhe by a local farmer.
The building was shifted in two pieces, and it took some time before the second story was added to the ground floor. Before it could be completed, family difficulties led to the project being abandoned, and the house now sits along and forlorn on the top of a ridge, overlooking the Wairarapa plain and the Tararua Range, and open to the weather from all directions.
