Stoney Cove is a large flooded quarry which is a popular inland scuba diving site. It is between Stoney Stanton and Sapcote in Leicestershire in England. There is a diving shop, a pub selling beer and hot food and a diving training facility there.

Highlights from a few dives in Stoney Cove on a busy Sunday morning in February
Visibility was not great (4-5 m) but there's always plenty to see. Noticeably absent from this dive were too many fish, the water was 5 degrees, so they were probably elsewhere keeping warm.
Shot using a Sony FX-1 in a Gates Underwater Products alloy housing and Fathom Imaging super wide angle port using ambient light an a pair of Greenforce Squid 250 HID lights in places.

A quick video of our latest scuba diving trip to Stoney Cove. Not been qualified long so still learning! Visibility only 3-5 meters and colours from the camera not the best but equally not bad considering I didn't use a filter and haven't edited the colours either.

Stoney Cove 2016
Jack and Dan's annual trip to Stoney Cove in Leicestershire. We dove the Vickers Viscount Plane nose, under the pub to see the crayfish and around the Nautilus submarine. In between these sights we also had some fun with the old Limestone works equipment such as benches etc. It's a great place to dive. This dive was during August 2016 which meant the algae bloom was in full effect and this wasn't helped be me forgetting to place a magenta filter on the front of my GoPro Hero 3+.
