The Stony Creek Trestle Bridge is located approx 20km’s North-East of Lakes Entrance and around 4.5km from Nowa Nowa in East Gippsland (Victoria, Australia).
The Bridge measures 276 metres long and is the longest of it’s kind in the Southern Hemisphere.

Boggy Creek Trestle Bridge, Koetong, Nth Victoria
The historic Boggy Creek Trestle Bridge, west of Koetong in Northern Victoria. The steel and wooden bridge was built in 1915 and was once part of the Wodonga to Cudgewa railway line, which closed in 1995.

Nimmons Bridge
Nimmons Bridge is on the Ballarat to Skipton line near Newtown. It crosses the Woady Yaloak River, and has been preserved in excdellent condition as part of a railtrail. The bridge is the second largest existing wooden trestle rail bridge in rthe state, after the bridge at Noojee. This clip was flown on Wednesday, December 2, 2015. The clip is a little thin due to it being quite overcast on the day.

Visited Buchan on a road trip to Gippsland, VIC.
I enjoyed the short stay in a backpacker in Buchan and lovely valley, horses and Caves.
If you are on travelling trip to Lakes entrance, VIC or if your on A1 Highway coming down past Orbost, take a right from Nowa Nowa and follow the sign boards.

Noojee Trestle Bridge
The now decommissioned Noojee Trestle Bridge is a beautiful example of Victoria’s built heritage. Thanks to conservations efforts, it continues to be the tallest surviving wooden trestle bridge in the state.
The Barking Magpie of Nowa Nowa
This magpie was saved by a family who brought her up around dogs. She now barks at the other local magpies because they bully her.
