Hiking Stórurð (The Giant Boulders), North East Iceland
Scenery: ★★★★
Difficulty: ★★★★
The trailhead is here.
There is a small parking space and Stórurð sign as in the first scene of the video. The trail was easy to follow even in snowy day as it's well marked with wood sticks like most of the trails in Iceland.
I took Vatnsskarðsvegur route which ended a couple kilometers west of highway 94 and hitchhiked back to my car. Thanks to the beautiful lady from Germany for the ride!

Heima er best: Porlakur Part 1 of 8
Heima er best - i Hvergilandi is a webdocumentary which tells some different stories about people who live in Iceland. It's about people who live far away from villages and cities, secluded in the Icelandic nature. Did they make a conscious decision to live far away from everything or did destiny decide for them? What do they do with their time? How do they live? What does the future hold for them?

Of Monsters and Men - Love Love Love at Músíktilraunir
Of Monsters and Men playing an early version of “Love Love Love” at Músíktilraunir. The event took place in the Reykjavík Art Museum (Hafnarhúsið) in downtown Reykjavík on March 27th, 2010. OMAM won the competition, which marked the start of their success story. Músíktilraunir is an annual “battle of the bands” type competition in Iceland, and many of the winners have had successful careers following the competition (e.g., Greifarnir, Bellatrix, Botnleðja/Silt, Mínus, XXX Rottweiler Hundar, Mammút, Agent Fresco, Samaris, Vök, and of course Of Monsters and Men). This recording is taken from a broadcast of the radio show “Rokkland” on Rás 2.
