Rome & The Vatican City EF Ultimate Break Grand Tour of Europe: Day 16 & 17
EF College Break Grand Tour Of Europe 30 Day Trip
EF Ultimate Break Grand Tour Of Europe 30 Day Trip
Equivalent to Ultimate Europe 4 weeks
Education First College Break Grand Tour Of Europe 30 Day Tour. Departing from Atlanta, Georgia, USA.
————————————
This is Day 16 & 17 of our 30 day trip to Europe. these were two full days in Rome, which gave us plenty of time to walk around, get good pictures, eat gelato and take time to rest. Day 16 started with a guided tour of the Colosseum which included a quick overview of the Arch of Constantine, and a quick walkthrough of the Roman Forum. It was a great tour, however, there was limited time at the Colosseum and we did not get to go down to the main level where the gladiators fought. Overall it was a great experience.
After the Roman Forum, we made our way to the Altare Della Patria, which is also referred to as the Wedding Cake,. It's a great place to get photos and videos that will give you that classic 1950's Italy feeling. Unfortunately, Rome was not the best place for us when it came to pizza. However, we found a nice place right next to the Colosseum with a great view and some good food.
After a few hours of walking around the city and doing some shopping, we went back to the hotel to relax for a bit before we went back out for dinner and drinks. On our way back to the city center we visited Parco Savello, also known as Orange Garden. Amazing views and right next door is the famous Key Hole which gives you a great view of the Basilica in the distance, perfectly centered and surrounded by trees and plants.
Day 17 was our visit to the Vatican. This was truly a great experience, I'm glad we were able to visit. The Vatican is practically its own country, and the smallest one to exist at about 109 acres. It has one of, if not, the largest collection of Egyptian artifacts in its museum, and is home to the famous Sistine Chapelle. It was a guided tour, however, our time was extremely limited and we barely had time to stop for great photos. It was jam-packed, and they are very strict with what you wear, and where you take photos.
We spent the rest of the day roaming the city streets, doing laundry, trying new food, walking by the river Fiume Tevere in search of the famous aqueducts but I think we were in the wrong city for that. At night we visited a cool Ice Bar, highly recommend you check it out if you're looking to do something new.

I have attached the Hostel/Hotel information below:
Hotel Albani
Via Adda, 45, 00198 Roma RM, Italy
I give it an overall 9/10.
Location: 8/10
Dorm: 10/10
Cleanliness: 9/10
Breakfast: 8/10
Very cool hotel. It has a 1950s style to it. Makes you feel like you're traveling back in time and you're a Hollywood star. Some of the rooms had 2 floors! It was one of my favorite places to stay. Short walking distance to the bus stops that take you to the major attractions, little boutiques, and restaurants close by. The key is really fancy too, but kind of bulky. If you don't feel like carrying it just leave it at the front desk.

This was my first tour with EF college break and it is definitely not my last. I plan on taking another tour sometime next year before I turn 29! Hopefully, I can make it to Japan or the Greek islands!
This agency makes traveling effortless, I highly recommend it to anyone and everyone between 18-29. I will write a Full Review in the coming weeks and will continue to post more videos about my adventure. 30 Days Worth!

La Befana in Rome - Italian Christmas Traditions by Walks of Italy
Many of the characteristics that dozens of countries associate with Santa Claus, belong to La Befana in Italy. She is at the heart of the Italian Christmas tradition, an old witch who brings stockings to children with gifts for the nice and coal for the naughty. View the Befana through the eyes of our favorite little Roman, Beatrice, in this charming video.

The unheard story behind the Sistine Chapel | Elizabeth Lev
The Sistine Chapel is one of the most iconic buildings on earth — but there's a lot you probably don't know about it. In this tour-de-force talk, art historian Elizabeth Lev guides us across the famous building's ceiling and Michelangelo's vital depiction of traditional stories, showing how the painter reached beyond the religious iconography of the time to chart new artistic waters. Five hundred years after the artist painted it, says Lev, the Sistine Chapel forces us to look around as if it were a mirror and ask, Who am I, and what role do I play in this great theater of life?

Exploring The VATICAN CITY & Parts of ROME in ITALY
Hello Everyone, Hope you'll are doing good.
Firstly Thanks a Lot for all your support and comments/feedback, it is always inspiring to travel show you the world around. Don't worry do share and keep watching for more such Travel Videos coming up just for you.
In this Video we shall explore the famous Vatican City !
Can You believe it Vatican is an independent city-state enclaved within #Rome , Italy. Established with the Lateran Treaty (1929), it is distinct from yet under full ownership, exclusive dominion, and sovereign authority and jurisdiction of the Holy See With an area of 44 hectares (110 acres), and a population of about 1,000, it is the smallest state in the world by both area and population.
Within the #Vatican City are religious and cultural sites such as St. Peter's Basilica, the #SistineChapel and the Vatican Museums. They feature some of the world's most famous paintings and sculptures. The unique economy of Vatican City is supported financially by the sale of postage stamps and souvenirs, fees for admission to museums, and sales of publications.
I also visited the #Pantheon which was a structural masterpiece.
The Pantheon is a former Roman temple, now a church, in Rome, #Italy , on the site of an earlier temple commissioned by Marcus Agrippa during the reign of Augustus (27 BC – 14 AD). It was completed by the emperor Hadrian and probably dedicated about 126 AD. Its date of construction is uncertain, because Hadrian chose not to inscribe the new temple but rather to retain the inscription of Agrippa's older temple, which had burned down.
The building is circular with a portico of large granite Corinthian columns (eight in the first rank and two groups of four behind) under a pediment. A rectangular vestibule links the porch to the rotunda, which is under a coffered concrete dome, with a central opening (oculus) to the sky. Almost two thousand years after it was built, the Pantheon's dome is still the world's largest unreinforced concrete dome. The height to the oculus and the diameter of the interior circle are the same, 43 metres (142 ft).
