Stragill Strand.....Harry`s Walkabouts
My Sunday stroll along Stragill Strand outside Buncrana, County Donegal, Ireland...15.10pm Sunday 21st September
Lough Swilly & Buncrana Shore Path, Co. Donegal 9 Sept 2018 v1
A day out on the shores of Lough Swilly at Ballybegley near Newtowncunningham and later to Buncrana taking a short walk along the renowned Salmon and Sea Trout river, the Crana. Following that we completed the short coastal path walk to Stragill Strand passing Ned’s Fort and Father Hegarty's burial place and the spot where he was be-headed by the Redcoats in 1711. The weather turned fairly wet and this brought the photography to a quick end.

Stunning location
Rarely can home owners boast of having a sandy beach at the bottom of their garden but this is exactly what’s on offer at this stunning front line property at Stragill outside Buncrana. Locals will understand the extreme beauty this long sandy beach provides and so can anyone else who want to call this property home. Whilst it’s accepted the 5 bedroom bungalow requires renovation, the large 1.8 acre plot really is a show stopper and provides a unique base in which to create something magical. Strongly recommended.
