Where to find vegan food at Pavilion Elite, Kuala Lumpur, MALAYSIA (Simple Life Signature)

Vegan Food Adventures with Raw Chef Yin heads to Pavilion in the heart of KL!
We are at Pavilion for the @mformalaysia gala premiere night so had a quick dinner at Simple Life Signature. (Actually they served food at the gala red carpet event but sadly nothing was vegan or vegetarian. All the food had fish or chicken or eggs. Reminder to ourselves to request for vegan options if possible…)
Our first time here! I don’t go the Pavilion area very often unless it’s for work so I was quite surprised at all the new places at Pavilion Elite.
We had the rice dishes as they told us that was the fastest, and indeed the food arrived really quick.
1. Vegetable Curry Pot RM25.90
This was a set so it came with soup and side dishes too. We checked to make sure the curry didn’t contain any dairy milk and they assured us it was only coconut milk. I love anything curry so was happy with this meal.
2. Lei Cha RM22.90
According to the menu, the Lei Cha is a signature of Simple Life. It’s a traditional Hakka soup made from basil, peanuts and sesame, served together with 7 types of vegetables and nuts. This was extremely tasty!
According to their website: Simple Life upholds the principle of using no MSG, no whites (eg. white sugar, flour), no preservatives and no trans-fat.
The staff were really friendly and helpful. It was nice and peaceful inside the restaurant, compared to the other parts of the mall. This is a vegetarian restaurant with vegan options, so do check to make sure there’s no egg or dairy. I was told that the Fried Udon Mee and the Vege Dumpling in Tomyam soup is also vegan. So is the Nasi Lemak if you request to omit the eggs.
