Dutch bar street in Eindhoven turned into living Lab (EN)

The famous Dutch bar street called Stratumseind in Eindhoven is the largest bar street in the Netherlands. Every week on Friday and Saturday night 15,000 young people between 14 and 30 years come to have a good time. To improve both security AND the fun factor, the local Quadruple Helix got involved. They are a strong collaboration between government, education, entrepreneurs and residents and decided to use Stratumseind as a Living Lab. Here, new and innovative technologies are tested in a real life situation and let visions come to life!

Eindhoven is the fifth-largest city and a municipality of the Netherlands. It had a population of 229,126 in 2018, making it the largest city in the province of North Brabant. This film features an exploration of Eindhoven, beginning at the main railway station Eindhoven Centraal, before heading out of the station and across Stationsplein, and then highlighting the following locations and features: 18 Septemberplein, Hermanus Boexstraat, Markt, Marktstraat, Rechtestraat, Sint Catharinakerk, Stratumseind, Dommel, Bleekweg, Vestdijk, Smalle Haven, Ten Hagestraat, Jan Van Lieshoutstraat, Nieuwstraat, Dommelstraat, Eindhoven Strijp-S, Joodse Begraafplaats, Beukenlaan, Klokgebouw, Philitelaan, Steenstraat, PSV-laan, Philips Stadion, Vonderweg, Mathildelaan, Emmasingel and Demer. The majority of the film is taken from a walk around the city, although a short train ride between Eindhoven Centraal and Eindhoven Strijp-S is also featured.
