By: Deven Clarke
ST. MARYS, Pa. Early Friday morning a fire broke out at the Straub Brewery in St. Marys.
It's a very popular brewery in the community. It's been around since 1872 and is known for offering free tours.
The fire broke out in one of the Straub warehouse buildings near the actual brewery that houses parts for the brewery.
Flames engulfed the building, and firefighters from all over Elk County responded to the scene.
The good news is that no one was hurt, and as of now, the fire is under control, but firefighters are still spraying water on the structure.
The fire marshal is on scene investigating, but it has not yet been determined what caused the fire.
6 News plans to talk to the fire chief and will keep you updated.

Police officers risked lives to safe elderly w
By: Lauren Hensley
ST. MARYS, Pa. -- Two St. Marys police officers risked their lives to pull an 80-year-old woman from her burning house. Her injuries are serious, but it could have been a lot worse.
According to the EMS people, if those officers did not take the action that they did, the outcome may not have been as good as it is, said St. Marys police Officer Todd Caltagarone.
Around 1:15 a.m. Tuesday, a dramatic 911 call dispatched first responders to a home on Hemlock Road in St. Marys.
A woman was in distress saying her house was on fire, filling with smoke and she was unable to get out, said Caltagarone.
State police said the fire started when the 80-year-old victim lit up a cigarette while using an oxygen tank.
The first two on scene were officers Gregg McManus and Drew Lehman of the St. Marys Police Department.
They were unable to find an unlocked door, so they forced entry into a side door and found the victim unresponsive, so they pulled her to safety, said Caltagarone.
Within minutes, EMT's arrived and transferred the woman to Penn Highlands Elk, and later she was taken to a burn center in Pittsburgh for serious injuries.
You do what you have to to save lives, said Caltagarone. There is some basic training and common sense skills that they apply.
Man held at gunpoint at Sheetz

ST. MARYS, Pa. -- Police in Elk County say a man held another man at gunpoint Thursday evening.
Police say Charles Allen Cheatle, 64, pulled a gun on a man at about 7 p.m. Thursday, but did not elaborate on the circumstances that led to the situation.
Police say Cheatle had the gun pointed at the victim, who was on the ground curled up in the fetal position when officers arrived.
Shoppers along South Michael Street told 6News that the thought of what could happen hit home.
Since I come here every day it makes me a little nervous that it might happen to me. It could have happened to me, Savannah Wehler said.
Police say no injuries were reported. Cheatle was charged with terroristic threats, simple assault and reckless endangerment.
Cheatle was taken to the Elk County Jail and his bail was set at $15,000, according to the Elk County District Attorney's Office.
