Prague's Slavonic Island - Praha Slovanský Ostrov
This is the Slavonic Island (Slovanský Ostrov), in the Vtlava River. Here you can find the Žofín Palace, where several important musicians presented concerts here, like Richard Wagner in 1863 or Ferenc Liszt and Hector Berlioz.
From this island you can appreciate both shores of the Vtlava River and Prague. Also Charles' Bridge can be seen from here.

Prague, Vltava river cruise, Czech republic - from Charles bridge, view Prague Old Town, Prague Castle, Letná, Štvanice,
The boat departs from the Rašín Embankment and first heads downstream on the Vltava River to the lock chamber at the Šítkovská Water Tower at Žofín Island.
Then it turns left around Střelecký Island, from where you will see the Charles Bridge and Prague Castle, then returns through the lock chamber before going upstream towards legendary Vyšehrad and the Žluté lázně resort, where it usually turns around and heads back to the Rašín Embankment.

The beautiful city of Prague boasts the winding snake-like Vltava River, a wide river that cuts the city in half and which awards perfect views of this splendid city of one hundred spires. The best part about the ferryboats that zip across the Vltava River is that they belong to the city’s transportation system, making them the most affordable boat rides Prague has to offer. The river ferry continuously circles around the river from the National Theater, Slovanksy Island, Strezletsky Island, Detsky Island (Children’s Island, complete with a large playground, snack bar and bathroom) and back. What better way to explore the whimsical islands of Prague, especially with a child? It is also good to note that children under 6 years of age are free on Prague’s transport system making ferry trip across the Vltava a perfect outing for you and your child. Charles bridge and Kampa Island from Franz Kafka's museum, Prague 29.04.2012
Banks of Kampa Island are washed by water of Vltava river on the one side and on the other one by the Devil's Stream, which separates it from the Lesser Town. Devil's Stream was created in the 12th century as a millrace. This thus makes Kampa an artificial island. Its beauty is as real as it can be, though.

Global Water Dances 2019 - Prague, Czech Republic
This Strelecky Island was historically used for hunting entertainment, then for enjoying the river. It is the center of the city. Now our issue is a severe draught, fear and at the end finding a way how to share the water.
