Worlds End Loop Trail in PA (Worlds End State Park)
This is a 12 mile hike in Worlds End State Park. We extended the trek to 16 mi with a little side trip to the Lower Alpine VISTA along the Loyalsock Trail. We stayed in the Worlds End Campground on Friday night and began the hiking on Saturday. Water was pretty scares until reaching the west branch of Double Run, which provided a real nice campsite. Water was more plentiful from there and for the remainder of the hike. Upon reaching the top on Winners Knob, we found a pair of hikers that scored a real scenic spot to camp for the night, though it was a dry site. We picked up the Link Trail at the Loyalsock Canyon Vista which brought us back to the park office where we had started. Lots of luck to the Scouts we ran into prepping for their trip to Philmont later in the year!
