Diving with Big Animals in Nassau with Stuart Cove’s Dive Bahamas
It's no big secret among divers: the bigger the marine life, the bigger the thrills, especially when you meet them up close and personal.
If you want to spot big animals underwater, a wreck is a great place to start. One of the best big animal dives in the world is at the Ray of Hope Wreck off New Providence in the Bahamas.
A popular site visited by Stuart Cove's Dive Bahamas, the 200-foot Ray of Hope sits right at the wall's edge where big animals come up from the deep. Don't be surprised if you encounter Goliath Groupers and Caribbean Reef Sharks as they weave through the wreck's hull passageways. The Bahamas' protected waters mean these gentle giants are more relaxed among divers, so you get longer, more playful interactions with bigger creatures more often.
Don't forget to look around you. Turtles, rays and eels inhabit nearly all of Stuart Cove's dive sites.

Shark Arena at Stuart Cove's Bahamas 12 11 2017
This dive site is the Stuart Cove's shark arena. It is located on the West side of New Providence Island, Bahamas. The sandy area where the Caribbean reef sharks are fed is about 40' deep, and sits near a wall that drops down to 4,500 feet deep. The nurse sharks get fed a hundred feet away from this area to keep them away from the reef shark feeding area because when the nurse sharks eat, much of the food goes in their mouths and right out the gills. This chum soup confuses and agitates the Caribbean reef sharks. The divemaster and the cameraman from Stuart Cove's wear chain-mail bite resistant suits to keep them from being nipped by the sharks. The rest of the divers sit in a semi-circle and watch the spectacle, often while getting bumped by the sharks. Once in a while the sharks mistake a GoPro camera for the feeding stick, and our cameras got bit a couple times. I usually don't put the bloopers at the end of the videos, but this time I was compelled to. My dive buddy Nate had been spearfishing in the Gulf of Mexico a week before this and he was attacked by 3 sharks while spearing fish. One of them bit his dive fin and put a nice cut in it. Needless to say, Nate had a heightened awareness to the possibility of getting bitten. I had no choice but to capitalize on the situation at every opportunity...

Wrecks near New Providence Island, Bahamas
While filming an episode on sponges off New Providence Island, Bahamas, the Changing Seas crew and scientific research team happened upon two shipwrecks that were close to each other. These wrecks made for a great dive site, with some sponges encrusting the exterior of the ships. Does anyone know the names of these wrecks?

A Day in New Providence Bahamas - Visiting Clifton Heritage National Park
This is part 3 and the final part to Nicole and I's cruise to the Bahamas back in 2017. We were privileged enough to have Clifton Heritage Park all to ourselves for our morning snorkel out to an old sunken James Bond airplane and the beautiful sunken statue named Ocean Atlas, the largest underwater sculpture ever deployed underwater. With perfect flat conditions and amazing water clarity, this place was the jewel of our trip.

We've started the petition Ban sale/distribution of the shark fins and products containing shark fins. Shark finning is a horribly cruel act and no creature on earth should have to go through something so horrible! Please, take 1 minute to sign it! Here's the link: Appreciate!
