About Carson:
Carson is a city in Los Angeles County, California. As of the 2010 census, Carson had a population of 91,714. Located 13 miles (21 km) south of downtown Los Angeles[11] and approximately 14 miles away from the Los Angeles International Airport.[12] Incorporated on February 20, 1968, Carson is the youngest municipality in the South Bay region of Metropolitan Los Angeles.
According to the United States Census Bureau, Carson has an area of 19.0 square miles (49 km2). 18.7 square miles (48 km2) of it is land and 0.2 square miles (0.52 km2) of it (1.29%) is water.
Carson is bordered by West Compton on the north, Compton on the northeast, Long Beach on the east, Wilmington on the south, and West Carson and Harbor Gateway on the west.

The StubHub Center (formerly the Home Depot Center) is a multiple-use sports complex located on the campus of California State University, Dominguez Hills in Carson, California. It is located approximately 10 miles (16 km) south of Downtown Los Angeles. Its title sponsor is online ticket marketplace StubHub, replacing hardware retailer The Home Depot. The $150 million complex was developed and is operated by the Anschutz Entertainment Group. With a set capacity of 27,000, it is the largest soccer-specific stadium in Major League Soccer (MLS).

The Olympic Velodrome for the track cycling events at the 1984 Summer Olympics was located on the campus of California State University, Dominguez Hills in Carson, California Constructed between 1981 and 1982, the velodrome was sponsored by the American convenience store chain 7-Eleven
The 3333 meter long track was demolished in 2003 and replaced by the ADT Event Center formerly Home Depot Center in 2004 The ADT center was built to the south of where the Olympic Velodrome was StubHub Center soccer stadium is actually situated where the velodrome once stood It was replaced by the VELO Sports Center nearby, which remains the only Olympic-standard velodrome in the United States

StubHub Center, home of the LA Galaxy, have partnered with Daktronics (NASDAQ-DAKT) of Brookings, South Dakota, to design, manufacture and install 10 new LED displays this spring as the state-of-the-art facility improves its fan experience for the LA Galaxy and Los Angeles Chargers. The new displays will add to the overall entertainment experience by providing an additional 5,000 square feet of display space.
