Near world famous Robson Bight is Telegraph Cove, a tiny historic 1930's boardwalk community, where the buildings have been converted to overnight accomodation for wildlife adventure charters, which range from Grizzly Bear viewing to Orca and Whale watching aboard Stubbs Island Whale Watching's 'Lukwa', which we went on for this video. If you've never seen a humpback whale or eagles or orcas or giant sea lions or porpoises in the wild- make a point of making the 4.5 hour drive up the coast of Vancouver Island to this special place. You won't be the same afterwards.

Whale watching at Telegraph Cove Vancouver Island
The world famous Orca 'rubbing beaches' are near northern Vancouver Island's Telegraph Cove, a 4 hour drive North from Nanaimo's Living Forest Oceanside Campground & RV Park. Stubb's Island Whale Watching operates from here, one of the original whale watching operations. The seasonal operation will give you a chance to see Orca's, Humpback and Grey Whales, along with porpoises, eagles and seals and sea lions.
The small historic boardwalk of businesses have accommodation, restaurant and tour operators which include paddling and bear watching operators too. There are two RV parks close by too.
