Tasting fresh sulfur water The Little Lizard (Ķirzaciņa)
On a trip to Riga in January 2020 my friend Jamie and I took a day excursion with a local guide through Jurmala. During our tour we made a stop off at one of the most interesting spots in Kemeri: a small Lizard's mouth from which sulfur water flowed.
The spring water is colorless, clear, with a bitter taste and a strong, egg-like smell and is known for its supposed healing properties, so we thought we'd give it a go.
