Cappadocia is a beautiful region in central Turkey famous for its fairytale scenery, caves, dwellings, remarkable rock formations and. of course, the hundreds of hot air balloons that soar up in the sky during sunrise in the morning. There is also so much hiking destinations in the region for all of us to explore. Enjoy watching!

There is a lot of options for you to choose from but riding a local plane (pegasus) is the quickest!
Where to stay?
we stayed in 2 different areas. GOREME & CAVUSIN
If you are alone, group, or family, I suggest to stay in Goreme itself. You are in the middle of everything like food, shops, tours etc. we stayed in Henna Konak Hotel (this is not sponsored)
*perfect location + best view of hot air balloon + awesome breakfast
If you are a couple who will celebrate HONEYMOON I recommend to stay in CAVUSIN or UCHISAR
This location is perfect for honeymooners. very romantic, cozy, quiet at night.

Our hostel manager in Istanbul booked a hot air balloon ride with Anatolian Balloon. We were picked up from our hostel (Feel Cappadocia Hostel) at 6:15 am in the morning to the launching site. Through 45 minutes flight we went to see Cappadocia famous landmark.

It was still dark and sun was still below the horizon but it’s warmth painting the sky yellow and orange, could be seen near the horizon.
Amidst all this, hundreds of balloons fired up the flames to fill the hot air. This looked like colourful bulbs on the vast landscape playing the lights game, lighting up its surroundings for few seconds and it stretched as far as one could see. -Cappadocia, Turkey.
