The concept design of the Sultan Sulaiman Mosque in Klang is quite different from any of the existing mosque in the state as well as in Malaysia. From the results of reading history books Malaysia, some say Sultan Sulaiman Mosque influence of Islamic architecture blends Moorish, Neoclassical and English architecture. Others say that the mosque's Art Deco concept for minimal decorative elements used here. Use simple geometry in plan mosque also lead to Western Art Deco. Masjid Bandar Diraja: Klang Royal City Mosque | My Mosque
Viewed from different angles, the Klang Royal City Mosque is a sight to behold. From the river, it seems it is floating when the high tide is in. From above, it can be seen that the main dome is surrounded by eight half domes forming the shape of a flower. The inside is a large space with high ceilings, and what is noticeable is that it doesn’t have any minarets. This architectural design of the Masjid Bandar Diraja was inspired by 45 different Middle Eastern mosques. The Sultan of Selangor commissioned its construction in 2003 and the mosque was opened last 2009. Two large prayer areas can be found within with beautifully designed carpets and full air conditioning. It is also equipped with Wi-Fi and surveillance cameras to ensure security. Many tourist visit this mosque because of its unique design.
