The last Orangutan of Sumatra Indonesia - Bukit Lawang - Jungle trekking
During this amazing 1 day trekking through the Rainforest of Bukit Lawang (North Sumatra) we got to encounter multiple wild Orangutans in their natural habitat as well as Gibbons, Thomas Leave Monkey's and Pig Tail Macaque. We have done many jungle trekking’s during all of our travels but this one definitely belongs in our top 3. This private 1 day trip booked with Sumatreks was arranged perfectly.
One thing we find really important and Sumatreks does very well is that they really educate their guests about the environment and the animals living in it. They do not allow you to feed or touch wild animals and take the conservation and protection of all endangered animals very serious.

WE APOLOGISE FOR THE TERRIBLE QUALITY IN PARTS OF THIS VIDEO!! :(
We stayed at Wisma Leuser Sibayak both times we were in Bukit Lawang. We loved staying here. The room prices are good and the service is outstanding, they really welcomed us in to their family and made us feel at home. Ooh, and the food is delicious!
