On last day of the Sumiyoshi Matsuri in Osaka (Japan), the mikoshi is transported from sumiyoshi Taisha to Sumiyoshi Shokuin Tongu, accross the Yamato River.

On new year' eve, me and my brother went to the Meiji Shrine to ring in the new year. The meiji shrine near harajuku is a historic and culturally important place for the japanese. On new years eve thousands of japaneses line up to get into the shrine to offer their prayers. Seen here is that line, and didnt manage to get is, as there were too many. Instead we walked out, and head on to the food stall.

So after went to Waseda University to meet Rani and Sarah, we went to eat at Ineya Reastaurant. They basicaly sell bento, the owner is the Grandpa and his sister. Since he was living in Indonesia for about 7 years and so many moeslem in Waseda University, they decided to make an halal bento for moeslem.

Studying Abroad in Japan 005: Shiga University Cultural Festival
So, this past weekend, there was a Cultural Festival at Shiga University. Since Cultural Festivals are so popular in Japanese entertainment media and culture, I thought I would show you guys some videos and pictures from an actual cultural festival.
Along with the entertainment parts, there were also lots of Clubs selling food. There were foods like soba, ramen, karaage, okonomiyaki, cotton candy, and melon bread. Overall, it was really fun to go there and see the an actual cultural festival.
Sadly, I caught a cold that weekend, so I personally do not appear in this video and I have typed up on the video what I had wanted to say to you all for explanations and whatnot.
