Last of the Summer Wine - my visit to Holmfirth
Some scenes from the great BBC comedy series 'Last of the Summer Wine' I took when I visited the area on Wednesday 19th February 2014.
Ivy's cafe and Nora Batty's house are first scene in Holmfirth followed by the pub and then Norman Clegg, Howard and Pearl's houses in Jackson Bridge - a village 7 miles away from Holmfirth.
Contrary to popular belief, not all of the scenes are in Holmfirth. Other locations used included Holmebridge (where Wesley's shed was situated) and Marsden.

Let's Visit Holmfirth, England
Holmfirth is a village located in the Kirklees in West Yorkshire, England (between Manchester and Leeds). The village is also where the longest running sitcom Last of the Summer Wine was filmed from the 1970s until about 2010. I check out the downtown area as well as the area near the Last of the Summer Wine Exhibition. Later in the video I head over to Victoria Park which has a nice overlook of the village and then over to St. John the Evangelist Church in nearby Upperthong.
