Bar in Oslo || Magic ice bar Oslo
Me my husband and my friend were going out friday evening for chillin' weekend. So we went to #Magicicebar since been a long time ago were planning to visit but did'nt happen, but last friday atlast we have time to chill out. We decided to come to ice bar here in #Oslo city center. We had a great experience since we like the cocktails we ordered, cozy place and great #icesculptures.it's pretty cold inside it was minus 6 though. They are actually open whole year round no holidays even weekdays. This bar is nice when it's summer time since it is cold inside, it's really good to chill out with friends, since we were first time to visit we are lucky enough to accommodate all the space inside the bar coz were just only four people inside thats why I hve a great opportunity to explore and make vlogs as well. Nice drink, nice place great weekend. Thanks for watching...!

SPECIAL: Proptech Summit XIX | Oslo, Norway #Proptech & #CoLiving
Technology is revolutionizing the property game. It is happening fast and everyone is talking about it. This year the PropTech Summit moved beyond the hype. They cut out the buzz and bring the facts to the table. What is actually happening? What is actually working? And who is doing it?
In this special episode coming all the way from Europe, Christine was one of the Keynote speakers at the annual Proptech Summit XIX in Oslo, Norway.
It was an incredible session talking about her two FAVORITE things: CoLiving + Technology. Incredibly interesting to hear that Norwegians worry that they are falling behind global trends, and how they can innovate in these key ways. After participating in this event, Christine was extremely impressed with their drive for innovation, digitalization, and having a positive impact on the environment.
The speakers here came from so many parts of the world, including a property developer in Shanghai sharing stories of rapidly building and developing huge cities in mainland China.
Enjoy!

This show is a passion project of Christine McDannell, the Co-founder of Kndrd, the first management software platform and global directory for Coliving. She is also the Founder of Kindred Quarters in California and published the first book on Coliving in 2018: The Coliving Code.
One of the biggest problems plaguing modern society is real estate and social challenges. People are signing away their paychecks on rent and feeling increasingly isolated. Christine is on a personal mission to solve these problems through the CoLiving movement by helping redefine the term ‘housemate’ with something meaningful, sustainable, and flexible on a global level.
People now are choosing access over ownership and new real estate projects need to be built specifically for the way humans are now deciding to live together.
These interviews feature experts in the field who share their own successes and journeys.
Enjoy!

NORWAY: OSLO PEACE SUMMIT: RABIN MEMORIAL
Eng/Russ/Nat
U-S President Clinton has urged both Israelis and Palestinians at the Oslo summit to honour Yitzhak Rabin by re-committing to peace in the region.
The former Israeli prime minister was assassinated four years ago.
At a ceremony honoring Rabin today in Oslo, Clinton remembered him as a righteous man who gave his life to the promise of peace.
Both Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak and Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat have pledged to pursue peace but both also
noted the difficulties ahead.
Clinton was meeting with the two leaders together Tuesday, but no dramatic breakthrough was expected.
The memorial service for Yitzhak Rabin, the Israeli Prime Minister evoked emotion and passion as leaders from around the world paid tribute.
The Norwegian host of the summit called for an end to the violence and conflict in the Middle East.
SOUNDBITE: (English)
We say to you today in a loud and clear voice, enough of blood and tears, enough.
SUPER CAPTION: Kjell Bondevik, Norwegian Prime Minister
In a room full of world leaders calling for an end to bloodshed, Rabin's wife, Leah, looked at the painting of her slain husband and told him that his legacy lived on.
SOUNDBITE: (English)
Yitzhak, we are back here in Oslo in the same hall five years later but without you, we left you at Mount Hertzel where you were buried. Ten days ago at the official memorial ceremony at my husband Yitzhak Rabin's grave site, Ehud Barak promised to return to that site to report to Yitzhak and the thousands of soldiers that are buried on that mountain, we have completed the mission we have arrived at the shores of peace, they assassinated you Yitzhak but your legacy survived.
SUPER CAPTION: Leah Rabin, wife of former Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin
Bill Clinton, the U-S President, evoking the memory of Rabin by speaking words he believed Rabin would have used, warned not to let slip the chance for peace.
SOUNDBITE: (English)
We have now a chance but only a chance to bring real and lasting peace between Israel and her neighbors if we let it slip away all will bare the consequences; Israel still trapped within a circle of hostility the Palestinians still saddled with poverty, frustration, and pain both and their Arab neighbors wrapped in an endless and pointless cycle of conflict. So if Rabin were here with us today he would say there is not a moment to spare all this honoring me and nice words they're very nice but please finish the job.
SUPER CAPTION: Bill Clinton, U-S President
Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak vowed to complete Rabin's mission of a final peace in the region and paid tribute to other leaders who had called for a halt to bloodshed.
SOUNDBITE: (English)
Today we pay tribute to the heroes of peace who are no longer with us, Anwar Sadat, Menachem Begin and King Hussein who walked a new road of hope and taught us that peace required painful tough decisions. I still mourn the death of Yitzhak my commander and mentor and friend, and I tell you Yitzhak you have fallen dead but your spirit and will are stronger than ever
SUPER CAPTION: Ehud Barak, Israeli Prime Minister
Also addressing the crowd at the service, Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat called on all nations to unite as the millennium approaches.
SOUNDBITE: (English)
We are in need to participate together in the celebration of 2000 years of our Jesus Christ in Bethlehem.
SUPER CAPTION: Yasser Arafat, Palestinian leader
The Russian Prime Minister, Vladimir Putin, called a final settlement in the Middle East as the best hope for fighting international terrorism.
SOUNDBITE: (Russian)

Oslo Nightlife: Grünerløkka
Check out the best bars in Oslo's finest bar district. This is where Oslo locals go to drink, well away from the touristy bars in Karl Johans gate and downtown Oslo.
Django is a jazz bar at the top of Grünerløkka, by Birkelunden park. They have live jazz performances Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Sunday. The bands are regulars, but there are different ones on different days.
Tea Lounge is a cozy bar by Birkelunden park.
Cafe 33 is a famous dive bar in Thorvald Meyers gate, at the corner of Birkelunden. It has recently been refurbished and is now called Sport 33. It's a great place to watch the game, they even have a 92 plasma screen. After dark in the weekends, the big screens go off and it's back to the good ol' 33 again. This bar closes at 3 am. every day of the week. When the other surrounding bars close earlier at 1 am. on weekdays, this place usually gets crowded.
Bar Boca was the first cocktail bar on Grünerløkka when it opened in 1998, and it's a real hipster place. The music is Rumba, Mambo, 50's, Rockabilly, Surf. You should try the Dry Martini, which is the classic Bar Boca drink.
Grünerløkka Brygghus is a micro brewery pub which has food and 21 beers on tap, where 13 of them have been brewed close by, on Grünerløkka.
Aku Aku bar is a tiki bar. Feel the tropical vibes while enjoying one of the three local beers from tap, or have a cocktail with in-house squeezed juices. They are famous for their rum based chili drinks.
Chair is Norway's only gin bar. They have more than 100 types of gin, and 9 beers on tap. The music profile is motown and funk.
Fru Hagen is a popular bar which attracts a mixed crowd. They have DJ's in the weekends, and dancing may occur. This bar has been here for over 20 years, so they must be doing something right.
Parkteatret is a bar and concert venue in an old movie theater by Olaf Ryes plass park. It's immensely popular, both inside, and the side walk bar which is overlooking the park. They have 10 beers on tap, and a cider as well.
Ryes is a 50's themed bar on the lower side of Olaf Ryes plass. They play 50's music and rockabilly. Lots of different characters come here, including bikers, most of the crowd are between 30 and 50 years old.
Rebell is an 80's themed bar which attracts all kinds of people. They play club oriented music, and there are new DJ's almost every weekend. They have 6 beers on tap, and a range of fancy drinks.
Memphis bar has more of an international crowd. It's a dance place, and they play mostly hip hop and R&B. Vodka Redbull is the drink of choice here.
Mir / Grünerløkka Lufthavn is an alternative bar, hidden away in a backyard in Toftes gate. There are lots of concerts of alternative music here, and the place has existed for over 20 years. You can play the foosball table in the basement, or sit in the old airline seats by the stage.
Qadis is located in a building which has housed some really nasty bars earlier, but this time they got it right. The new owners have completely changed the bar to a sports bar/cocktail bar. In the weekends it's more danceable music, and there will be a long queue. They have 7 beers on tap.
Glød is a chill beer and wine bar with varied music played exclusively from vinyl.
Hytta is another small cozy bar right next to Glød. It's the hang-around for local artists, and they play strictly vinyl of course.
Alexandria is one of the oldest pubs on Grünerløkka. You can watch the game here, and a cover band plays Rolling Stones etc. on Mondays. This place has the cheapest beer on this list.
Bettola is a cocktail bar at the end of Thorvald Meyers gate, right by Nybrua bridge. They play mainstream music, and they have fantastic cocktails. The furniture is exclusively Scandinavian from the 60's and 70's, and you can actually purchase it if you like.
Territoriet is a wine bar in Markveien. They have 450 different wines which can be ordered by glass, and they also have one beer on tap. The music has rock profile, and it's only vinyl (duh).
BD57 is the name of the BrewDog pub in Oslo, it's also in Markveien. They have pub food until 9 pm., burgers, ribs, and more. They have a new beer on tap almost every day, and about 20 on tap at any given time.
Syng is a karaoke bar by the Akerselva river. They have four karaoke rooms, and a large main area. In the weekends they play upbeat music you can dance to. There will be a line after 12 in the weekends.
Ingensteds and Blå are two nightclubs on Grünerløkka, by Akerselva river. Blå is the oldest and most well known of the two, and they are both very popular. Expect long lines after 9 pm in the weekends.
Party hard, and take care!
