Summit Peak Scenic Area. This is the view from atop the tower, overlooking treetops, hills, and mountains for miles. The climb up the tower isn't too terrible, and the view is worth it.

A Drive Around Michigan's Porcupine Mountains State Park
Wondering what you'll see from the driver's seat when visiting Porcupine Mountains Wilderness State Park in Michigan? This video shows you most of the roads around the park, starting at the visitor center, then taking you up to the Lake of the Clouds, and on to Summit Peak and Presque Isle River.

I made this trip in October 2017. Video shot with a Brinno TLC-200 Pro time-lapse camera mounted on my roof with a homemade magnetic case. I travel with two Brinno cameras - one facing forward, the other in reverse. Sometimes the reverse camera captures better video (fewer raindrops and bugs hit the rear-view lens).

Lake Of The Clouds (upgraphics.com)
Surrounded by the silhouettes of the ancient Porcupine Mountains, the Lake of the Clouds is a blue gem amid the thick forests. The Lake of the Clouds is perhaps the most photographed feature in the Porcupine Mountains region. No matter what the season, it is a truly breathtaking sight to behold. The best view of the lake and the surrounding hills is from an easily accessible boardwalk just off 107th Engineers Memorial Highway.
The Lake of the Clouds Scenic Area is located in the Porcupine Mountains Wilderness State Park.
