Daniel Nana Aforo, VoicesofAfrica mobile reporter in Accra, Ghana (23 October 2008) A flower pot manufacturer has expressed optimistic of taking the venture into international market. Notwithstanding how pretty good the local markets are he's still prepared to have an international demand for the venture.
I want to have an international market and its my dream to take it outside the shores of Ghana. This was said in an interview with Mr. Kingsley Boateng, a flower pot manufacturer in Accra when African News visited his premises. According to him the demand of the flower pot are from firms, religious bodies, schools and individuals alike.
There are some who comes in only for the pot, or flower or both. Mr. Boateng said it takes him 30 minutes to finish one pot and totally he makes 8 flower pots a day. He started learning the trade since 1992 and has been a sort of income for himself and family. Among the flowers nursery are lantana, azuria, caladium, dwarf and giant, fycus and cane palm.
