Carnival Pride! Grand Turk (Catamaran Snorkel and Beach!) - 9/11/13

Here is footage from Grand Turk! We participated in the Catamaran Snorkel / Beach Party excursion, and met some great people here, as you'll see in the video :) We heard this is the best excursion to do while in Grand Turk, and we agree! What a beautiful place.

Grand Turk Island visit

I had the opportunity to briefly visit Grand Turk while on a cruise vacation. The island has beautiful beaches and friendly people. When you get off the cruise ship you can stay in the cruise area, go around the small island or do what I did and wander down the beach to a local spot. The island used to be a salt making centre but now it is tourism. Enjoy the video.

Snorkeling with Barracuda in Grand Turk

Snorkeling with a barracuda and other fish at the Grand Turk Cruise Center Sunray Beach near the drop off. At the end of the video you can see how close the you are snorkeling to the ship. There may be excursions where you see more fish, but Grand Turk is a great place to go that is right off the ship (so you don't have to pay money for a taxi to get to a beach), and the snorkeling is pretty good. The snorkeling is better in the morning because the swim area buoys reach out to the drop-off. Watch for flounders at the bottom, because there are a lot, but difficult to see (see one of my other videos Subscribe to KD Travel Adventures.
