Zan & I thought we'd give JF of Sundance Balloons a hand tonight setting up & to my pleasant surprise, JF said he had an empty spot in the basket & would I like to go for a flight? Even though I'm a hot-air balloon pilot myself, but am usually chasing Zan while he flys his balloon, it didn't even take me 1/2 a second to say absolutely. We had a fabulous flight with our skilled pilot. Thanks JF! (& Sundance Balloons)

Note: If anyone wishes to analyze this vid just to make sure those are wasps and what kind of helicopter that was, lol, that would be very helpful. :) This is a bit of a long description of this vid. Too much goin on in it. Amazing.

I caught 2 hot air balloons up in the sky tonite. They have some more good weather for it. On another note: what the heck? I kept seeing these little black things flying everywhere. Could be wasps. I think my neighbour has a nest. Maybe?

Also.. I don't think that was a chemtrail. My bad. I did see a chem from my back yard tho. I'll take a vid of the moon again. Seems I missed the big 'star' last night too. Oops....

Those two balloons are CTV and Remax. I still think I'd love to have a hot air balloon ride at least once in my life. Lol

Also.. is it just me? or does the sky look... a little greenish?

Railfanning CN, CP in a Hot Air Ballon in Winnipeg

Took a hot air ballooon ride in Winnipeg on September 2012. The flight path just happened to parrallel the CN main line with views of the CP Main Line, and the Greater Winnipeg Water District railway yard. It was a slow ride that also took us over the St. Boniface industrial area. The video starts off following a CN freight through Beach Junction on its way to Symington yard. The end of the video is a series of photographs from the balloon with some really clear shots of CP's main yard and shops, the GWWD yard and some scenes of me helping to keep the balloon from deflating onto a street sign.
