St Pete Beach - NextHome Beach Time Realty
Where else can you be that the local newspaper gives away a free paper on any day the sun fails to shine? The sugary, white sand beaches of St. Pete Beach and Pass A Grille are literally ranked among the best in the world. Accustomed to being in the top 5 beaches in the US, in 2012 Trip Advisor voted St. Pete Beach the #1 Beach in the US and the #5 in the world! And as if those accolades were not spectacular enough, St. Pete Beach is known for being a premier destination for families. Indeed, Parents Magazine voted St. Pete Beach the #3 Family Beach in the US for 2013! The Tampa Bay area has so much to offer, it’s no wonder so many people long to be here!
Approaching the islands of St. Pete Beach, when you hit the apex of the Pinellas Bayway Bridge, sweeping vistas of the Gulf of Mexico and the Intracoastal Waterway will appear. Take a deep breath! You have arrived. As you hit land, you are welcomed by the sight of the grand dame of St. Pete Beach, the regal Don CeSar Beach Resort. The “Pink Palace,” (as it is affectionately called by locals), delineates Pass A Grille from the rest of St. Pete Beach, though in reality it is all one very special island.
With a booming hotel district spanning 9/10th of a mile of Gulf front splendor, St. Pete Beach is a treasure trove of things to do and enjoy, from water sports to fine dining; beach bars and live music; paddle boarding or dolphin sighting – It is all here! NextHome Beach Time Realty has many different vacation home options for Guests to enjoy, including private homes and condominiums, as well as condo-hotels. Most have water views. Many are waterfront. All are either on the beach or a short walk to the beach.
There is no need to leave the island; but if you choose to do so, there are many fabulous options open to you. Downtown St. Petersburg is 15 minutes away. There you can enjoy the “Riveria-esque” waterfront cafes and visit world-class museums, like the Dali or the Chilhuly Exhibit! If Major League Baseball is your passion, catch a Tampa Bay Rays’ game at Tropicana Field! Shopping is also a great pleasure in the city center. Our personal favorite is Sundial, where you can shop until you drop – into a chair at one of the many fabulous restaurants also there. Make sure you check out Locale Market while at Sundial. It is a grocery store that is a surprising and delightful experience with exotic selections that pander to the pallet!

Natural Footwear Chain Celebrates 30 Years of Happy Feet Plus in Florida
Happy 30th Anniversary to Happy Feet Plus
→
( April 09, 2015 ) Largo, FL — Health and comfort footwear advocates Jacob Wurtz and Jane Strong have a lot to celebrate.
Three decades ago, on April 19, 1985, the pair set up a kiosk in Tyrone Square Mall, St. Petersburg, FL. This year, they have proudly opened their tenth upscale footwear location in the famous Sundial Center in downtown St. Petersburg.
Self-described New Age free spirits, who once lived six months in a tipi in remote British Columbia, the subject of business was self-taught by Jacob and Jane after they moved to Florida to try to change things for the betterment of mankind over 30 years ago.
A winter freeze killed their first business – picking, packing and shipping organically grown Florida citrus. Recovering from that, they then got into the sock business for a while at local flea markets. They discovered the Kenkoh original Japanese massage sandal at a Natural Health Fair in 1980. This product launched their business when they sold $10,000 worth at the Florida State Fair, to foot-sore fairgoers. They both agreed to promote the Kenkoh, recognizing it as a product that everybody needs. Soon they also took on the little known, odd-looking German sandal called Birkenstock.
During the years that they were building their business locally they also traveled from Florida as far as New York State for up to 20 shows a year and frequently an 80-hour work week.
Today, Happy Feet Plus is flourishing across the West Coast of Florida from Tampa to Sarasota and Fort Myers. Jacob and Jane have continued their commitment to the planet by utilizing environmentally-friendly materials in all ten stores. A decade ago, Happy Feet Plus opened the very first LEED Gold Certified retail building in the U.S. “Being a “Green” business isn’t always about saving money”, says Jacob, “it’s about doing what’s right for the greater good.”
Since a full decade before founding Happy Feet Plus, Jacob has been a strong advocate of achieving wellness through the practice of Natural Health. Today, along with many other brands of health and comfort footwear, the company is the national distributor of the original Kenkoh Japanese massage sandal that sparked the business thirty years ago.
Jane Strong has been an active member of the St. Petersburg Toastmasters Club, serving on the Executive Board and as President, and was an Area Governor in 2008, as well as a member of the American Business Woman’s Association. In 2007 she was named the Business Woman of the Year by the St. Petersburg Chamber of Commerce, and in 2009, Entrepreneur of the Year by the Tampa Bay Business Journal.
“Happy Feet Plus features shoes that have a reputation for Health and Wellness and environmental awareness,” said Jane. “We are so gratified not only that our business has grown, but that the concept of healthy, natural footwear has generated so much enthusiasm and loyalty over the years.

This is an interesting elevator. Front: L=Lobby, 2-7=Parking, 8-27=apartment/condos, 28=locked penthouse. Rear: L=driveway/thruway, 8-27=bicycle storage. I beleive that this elevator is uswed for going on bike rides or walks, considering the lady walking her dog. Installed 1975.
